Hi,
I went through the past topics that discussed Achievements but I havent found any with a clear statement IF there will be achievements and HOW they will look like. Any final decision yet here?
Thx a lot

ive never cared for PSn achievements, but if they were ingame achievements im in.
Beside PSn is also Steam. But I understand what you say. Nevertheless, humans want to show what they have achieved it is in our nature and proven in so many studies. Every achievement ingame or offgame is important. And Warhorse shouldnt avoid things that have been proven good for the majority of games only for the sake of been different or serving a hardcore game minority. Re-inventing the wheel for ingame mechanics and story was the goal and this is absolutely cool & ok, but re-inventing things for typical human behaviour is not smart but stupid (if you are not a tripple AAA developer /publisher with a multibillion buffer) to compensate this loss.
So, my oppinion (and maybe Im allone here) is that it is fundamentaly important not to loose focus on compatibiity to the rest of the potential target gamers and implement (smart) achievements.
Which achivements would be cool and smart? And not only stupid and borring? (Found 100% of all killer rabbits)
smart achievements yes, grindy⊠not so much.
Yes the Killer rabbit Smart achievements are mostly hidden achievements that donât follow a strict pattern. The usage of a special skill repeatedly in combination with another skill lets say dagger and stealth would be âGhostâ or high talking skill with avoidance of spilling blood in certain quests would be the samaritan or silver tongue or , or, or. So no kill 10 rats and become âhunterâ. Hidden achievements are also the ones that let people experiment with different gameplay styles. Yes, an achievement ingame for being a silvertongue could give you an extra charisma point or something similar, a nice badge you could wear on your armor
But there are sooo many guides for creating smart and decisionbased achievements in the Internet, it would be an easy task to create them, but more difficult to implement them I guess. However, I say achievements are importand, and people who doesnt want them just should ignore them
Iâm not a fan of achievements as they have been implemented in the past.
There are a lot which are essentially âcheckpointâ ones, or which are spoilers for the gameplay. Leaked (or early information legitimately released) of achievement lists often give away a lot of story line elements in a way counterproductive to gameplay.
They can also encourage bizarre playstyles or activities (not because the player wants to experiment with a type of gameplay/activity but because the achievement list says so).
Personal opinion only, and I can see why some people like them - but I just think they are not necessary and can spoil some aspects of gameplay.
I absolutely understand your position and as said I donât like the âspoiling & grindingâ kind of achievements too
