Will There Be Moon Phases?

Will the game have phases of the moon? If so will the lighting change? I live in an area where there is very little light pollution and during a new moon it is pitch black, while a full moon almost completely illuminates the place. I could take a walk through the woods and not need a flashlight.

I am sure this would affect your need and usage of torches in-game. The difference in lighting also affects animal behavior:

Owls: Some species of owl become more vocal and others become more shy during a full moon.

Bats: With more light bats tend to make themselves scarce. It is believed to be their way of avoiding predators.

Birds: Nightime birds like Nightjars will become more active with full moons and less active with new moons.

Mice: Some species reduce or increase their body temperature in response to moonlight levels. During full moon nights, their foraging activity is lower and fights between two mice are more common.

Deer: A female deer’s reproductive cycle is influenced by the different phases of the moon, and peaks in the three or four days of the second full moon after the autumnal equinox. When the breeding season is at its peak, finding deer is easier and finding more than one in a particular area more likely.

Bears: They tend to be least active during a full moon, and most active during a new moon.

Boar: Many hunter’s believe the night of a full moon is the best time to get boar. Others disagree and the time of year and location may have an impact.

There should be at least a full moon, since the reflections in the water are allways showing a fullmoon
