Hard question. It is an decision of Crytek, i guess.
But i will hope, otherwise, i will do everything against WH and KCD

Same here, WH - they have to make a deal with Crytek, but it doesnt look like they are doing something to make modding tools to be released
Dan posted a picture about his plans. And the dev tools are the last on his list.
You must know that such a release makes sense only after completion of the actual game.
Otherwise, others could take WH the rank away. Like the story of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

EDIT: kk, that was the last knowing info about the mod/dev tools
I hope someone will create a program in future to clean savegames from old srcipts, refs, unused data and so on. These Halberd (dropped items/weapons) problem must be solved in current savegames of players.
Finally someone’s asked a much needed question!

That was about general “mod support” to be included in a previous patch, not actual tools. No one has any real information yet.
