Maybe there is already one name in the storyline but if not…what will be the name of your horse ? Did you think about it, and did you think about it to be “historicaly accurate” 
? As we are not getting a dog, it will be our best companion after all ! I don’t know if they used to name horses at that period, I guess they did but I’m not sure about that.

If you do one of the quests to get a replacement horse, it has a name. So at the very least naming horses is a thing in the game. I didn’t bother myself. I just called mine thrthrthr. The sound of whistling.
