WISHLIST! What do you guys want from this game?!

Well it seems to be realy good i like the style it would be awsome that you will be able to court a woman get kids protect you house for invaders and someting like that.
own a place exspand it but buying wood on the markert ore stone own cattle ore sheep to get wool and food to eat , wool to make clothes .
make your wife help you makeing clothes and stuf like that meaby even a multiplayer version that you and your mate can go through battles and the story, meaby become king own a city exspand , manage you city your people , be hated ore be nice and the people will love you.
it has so much potential i think if thereā€™s only the story and what you guys said 30+ hours of game play i think you could exspand that even more like if you want to be king you need to marry a princes and kill the king ore something like that wage war on the other kingdom untill you rule the whole land i think you could turn that 30+ intro 60 ore even more .
i hope any dev read this and hear something of what you guys think .

love the idea and hope it wil come out soon greets patrick

Donā€™t expect things which arenā€™t there or have been denied already multiple times.
You will be very disappointed.

Youā€™re not going to be able to control cities or become King in the game. The whole point of the story is that your character is just a fairly ordinary person, not a superhero like in most RPGs. Multiplayer and ā€˜simulationā€™ elements like managing your own business are not going to be present either, at least in Act 1.

I like this too i hope we see the good things of Mount and blade

Hmm okay well it would turn the 30 to alot more but yeah i can see the ordiany part thing but still tough if you conqeur a castle and you kile like 30 men with your bare hands the whole realm would know your that guys for killing the guys with bear hands and the king would noticed that to .
it just would be awsome dont know much of the game just yet but yeah if you get a reputation for something meaby there willing to pay more for you skils and stuff like that and shame that the game would release in 2015 it looks alredy a good 60% done of the vids you saw i know they just focus on bits to show off but still xD

Which is why youā€™re not going to be able to kill 30 men with your bare hands. The devs are taking a realistic approach to combat, which means fighting multiple opponents will be very tough and youā€™ll die quickly if you try to act like a one-man army.

There is a reputation system and thereā€™s no need in using bare hands to kill, thatā€™s what the swords etc. are for.

Oh, actually you wrote ā€˜bear handsā€™. :hand: :koala:

i know that lol it was a example for gaining reputation

hehe true to dat hehe owh well cant wait for it but still a long way to go i think ore is a aplha/beta release date confirmed ?

lol itā€™s ā€œstampsā€ on russian keyboard, thanks for noticing

This is really a wish, because it is not going to come to the game, but here it is.

Iā€™d wish that the terrain was semi-dynamic and that youā€™d be able to build buildings on it, sell and own real estates and businesses, which is not going to be an easy task to develop or for the player to achieve.

I suddenly feel like every game has cheated and is a fraud. I really hope there wonā€™t be any torches after seeing this, handā€™r even given it a though beforeā€¦

Depending on the sources, you get different answers:

So Iā€™m wondering: who is right?

@warhorse: What does you historian have to say about torches?

What did the torches ever do to you?

But really, guys, half of the stuff youā€™re proposing here is all waaay beyond what Warhorse has promised us and most of the ideas here have already been confirmed *wonā€™*t be in the game, like the real estate business.

What do I really want from this game? I want to be surprised, entertained and enjoy my time playing this game. The game does not have to be absolutely perfect (sometimes the imperfection makes things even better) but it needs to be playable and entertaining. This is a very difficult task and I hope the team of Warhorse studios will manage to create a great game with good story (soon).

  • give me a nice crafting opportunity (crafting that actually helps in the game and may be complex)
  • give me the opportunity to change the color of my clothing, or ad runes (dont have to affect anything but style) to my armor- no fantasystyle needed
  • give me a place to stay where i can come to and someone will help me, where i can get companions, something like a ā€œguildā€, maybe one can recruit villagers, so one can get discounts or maybe some lore with the members of this ā€œguildā€
  • would be nice if people not just spawn, if a blacksmith is killed maybe the appreciant will take his role and will be looking for a new appreciant (maybe a new npc, a guy who walks by and looks for a job or so)

if that exists i will be more than happy

I want a visor system. If Iā€™m wearing a full helmet and I can still see as if Iā€™m not wearing anything it wonā€™t be immersive, since they seem so obsessed with the idea of 1st person, which I believe will suck because you are using a mouse and keyboard and not your arms and donā€™t feel what you are doing, and will result in you not seeing/knowing what you are doing. At least if I have a visored helmet and have the visor lowered, I want it to hinder my sight.

Everything what i want is open source  to mod this game

I donā€™t want looting to be a huge distraction. If I am pillaging a fort somewhere, I donā€™t want to have to check in a hundred urns and chests to find things to sell to get a little bit of coin. Iā€™m not sure what I want in place of this, but I simply hate having to spend all my time worrying about whether Iā€™m missing some good loot by not checking every single bookshelf and cabinet.

I got some suggestions. I really liked Gothic 1-2 because of atmosphere. People in town would confront you if you would pull weapon out, or trespass in their house, or just sneak around. This also came from relationships with characters -
There were no reputation bar or anything like that, you just select one of dialogue options, which would change characterā€™s relation to you. In some cases you had to fight some, without killing, as people around you would call you murderer and attack you. And you had to pay a fee to the city if you got out alive of the situation so you could continue main storyline.

I also liked how things didnā€™t have any level or stat requirements, they just costed money, and it wasnā€™t easy to make money. I mean you didnā€™t have to repeat some mindless quests to kill x and collect x, all quests had some meaning to main story - whether you needed money to get colleague out of jail, or to join some school, and story progressed depending where you had spent money.

I also enjoyed how significant it was to get a job, to have some significant people respect you, because you could progress further from that.
It was very satisfying to get good armor and weapon aswell, because it was hard to get it. I hope you have work hard to get horse too, as itā€™s main means to travel.
