Woes of an Xbox Player

I’ve got about 40 hours into the game, give or take(On Xbox One console). And the deeper I get, the more bugs and overall game breaking things I encounter. At first it was little things, but now it’s gotten to the point where I can’t play this anymore. I love this game, I really do, but until there’s a patch that fixes these issues, there’s no point.
I’ve had the following glitches happen:

Stairs are the ultimate barrier. I can’t just walk up them. I get stuck, and then every NPC in the area runs into me.

Camera not focusing right in cut scenes/when I talk to people. This might have been the cause of my position before initiating conversation.

The game will sometimes freeze for up to ten seconds. I’ve also had it completely crash once during it’s frozen spell.

The graphics load extremely slowly at times. It’s not a huge deal though.

NPCs stop moving and I suddenly can’t click anything. This is the last straw here. I reloaded a save twice. I was in Merhojed during the beginning of Pestilence when it starts.

Horse floating on top of fences. I won’t lie, this one is moderately amusing sometimes.

Trapped by doors. Sometimes you can’t get through doors. I have been trapped in a house because of this once and I had to reload a save.

Lag., also ties into the freezing. I understand this is an open world game, which is why I was willing to forgive the annoyingly long pauses during the start of the game, fast travel, conversations, and anything else that requires loading. However, when I’m riding my horse in an area that’s already loaded? Come on. It’s like the devs rushed to get this out.

I’m certain there’s more, but this is all I can remember. Please fix these, Devs! Even if you can’t get to all of them, at least work on the worst ones.

Grab a refund, if you had it from store Microsoft are giving refunds because of the condition of the game.

Wait 6months at least because that’s how long it’s guna take and more to even have this game ok on console.

Hopefully the game will be cheaper by then anyway. Either way don’t pay full price to be a beta tester.

I was the same as you, started fine but the further you get into it it’s just awful, 48hrs and I stopped and asked myself why I’m trying so damn hard to get past bugs as it’s ruining the game for me, constantly reloading hours of gameplay and replaying to avoid bugs and the devs level of communication isn’t enough for me to keep my money on the table for them. So Microsoft gave me a refund no arguments at all as the game is currently a bad port for console and deffo an after thought compared to the PC version.

I think I’ll hold onto it. I’ve worked so hard to get where I’m at. I have 10k, great equipment, dice, the best horse in the game, so many side quests done… I just can’t see all that progress going down the drain. But thanks for the heads up. I wasn’t aware of the refunds. I’ll definitely think about it.

Same mate, 10-15k best horse all the gear… one shotting every enemy with ease… I dunno I just couldn’t feel it after all the bugs and half my side quests having gas breaking bugs after putting loads of time into them only to realise that the rewards were pointless to me and the side quests themselves weren’t actually fun anyway. Most the time it’s just speech tests based on how shiny your armour is and maybe an enemy I can kill in one stab. Playing the game now just ruins the intended experience because it isn’t working the way it is supposed to so I just couldn’t bring myself to carry on playing it at its worst. I held off playing it waiting for the patch but it made things worse so considering I refuse to play it until it’s fixed I couldn’t see the point in paying full price now when by the time it’s fixed it will be half the price.

Yeah, the game is in a very bad state right now on Xbox. I am playing on Xbox One X and other than it running at a higher resolution, there is really nothing different. One of the biggest issues is how items that area about 2-3 feet in front of you disappear and reappear. For example, even in the opening scene of the game in the room where you are talking with your mother, look at the fire where the food is cooking. Taking one step back and items on the ledge of the fire disappear and they reappear if you take a step forward. This is about 3-4’ away and things like this happen.

It just seems like the devs for the console version are not optimized. The “X” has 12 gb of RAM, which 9gb is available for games, surely they can some stuff loaded into memory. When walking around towns if people are wearing headgear they stuff magically appears, or how textures on building are a blurry mess until you are extremely close.

And then there are the bugs which are plenty. When you get the first town and you need to get a horse, my horse ended up being magical and I was flying around on the horse.
