Worst wagon drivers ever

Anybody else notice that all the wagons across the entire countryside are all wrecked and you never see a peasant driving one with a team of horses?

None of the enemies are on horseback? Aside from Hans occasionally sporting around on his horse, I don’t think I’ve seen anybody else riding around.

Tons of the enemies have spurs for no apparent reason.

Well I mean, there are bandit and Cuman camps everywhere, random villagers/peasants trying to rob even the most armored of travelers and a large army about trying to overthrow the crown soooo…

Can’t imagine the average traveler gets too far lol. It would be cool to see an actual traveling trader like in Skyrim and other RPGs, but it makes sense why they’ve all been attacked and such

Would be nice to see some horse and carriage action in the game by NPCs, but I am sure that (based on the NPC pathfinding skills), this would never work in wooded areas. Maybe they’ll improve those things down the line to allow them to add such details!

Honestly though, with the roads the way they are and connecting nicely between the large towns/villages, there is no need for a horse and carriage to go where my horse alone can barely travel lol. Having them travel main roads would be good enough for me. Plus that would make it available as a fast travel option, to stop to visit a traveling merchant (maybe for different items then in town or with available bodyguard/mercenary work) of if you get prompted for an attack on the road it could be bandits/Cumins attacking and if you successfully defend the raid the merchant pays you some decent groschen or something like that.

once they enable wagons i’d expect you could ask the (driver?) where he goes and hop on if it is in your direction. would be good in early game when you still don’t have a horse.
