Ive seen people saying that after 50 hours or so gameplay time it starts going a bit funny, Im still tempted to buy it soon, i cant see myself doing over 30 hours over the weekend and I will end up doing a few hours through the week. Hopefully when hitting the 30 to 40 hour mark the new patch will be out.
The Patch should come out this week for PC, which means it will come out 1-2 weeks later for xbox, I hope that the serious bugs will get fixed
I’m liking it on Xbox base and have been playing it for a couple of weeks now. I have a few issues at times with the game crashing, usually soon after starting, but it does not take much time to make up the ground I lost as I can skip through dialogues and, since I already have figured out what to do, can usually be back where I was at within 5 minutes. I am not experiencing a lot of the quest bugs that others are and it does seem to be more stable on Xbox One than on PS4 based on what others are saying.
In closing, I would say that yes, it is worth buying but expect that you will have a few minor bugs and a few crashes. If you are okay with that and know that it is a work in progress going in, I think it makes it a bit easier when it happens. If that sort of thing drives you nuts, then wait until the patches fix the issues.
It is probably worth noting as well that I am only about 30 hours in so maybe things will start getting worse from here based on what others are saying. I am hopeful the next patch will make a difference, though.

I’d wait. It has all the makings of a great game, but you will love it more after the patch.
Still too many bugs and gameplay issues to be perfectly honest. I am at a point where I am going to leave it alone until patch 1.3 comes then will try again. The save game mechanic means you cannot save any time you like without expense. Had a major issue with the archery competitions where competitors just don’t take any shots - you can disengage and the game carries on but you lose the “gold” you spent. Playing on the Xbox One X too. Had a number of game crashes during loading the next part of the game too making me have to revert back to saves sometimes losing two or three hours gameplay. If you can live with all of that then go for it!! The game has so much going for it though looking forward to the patch and getting stuck in again.

I think ScouseKnight’s assessment is a good one and agree that if you feel that you can live with these things, go for it. If you cannot, wait a bit longer.
Once they get these bugs worked out, it is going to be a great game and is already a lot of fun.

At least wait for update 1.3 the game is a must have and his is coming from a guy who lost his progress a couple of times into the game. Just wait till you see how its working with xbox pro users.
Thanks people for the responses, think I will wait then until the next patch (hopefully) sorts most problems. I don’t mind bugs and so but if its the case of crashing every so often, losing a few hours, I would find that a tad annoying.
Not only crashing but bugs can make you fail quests and there is no chance of getting them back. So better to wait it out but never pass on it.
Don’t buy at least now. I have the xbox one X enhanced version and the draw distance is extremly bad characters objects and the worst big houses pop in right in front of you, Houses miss textures until you are 5 meters in front of them etc. The game looks terrible atm and there are a lot of bugs too. Buy it in a few months when the worst bugs and graphic issues are fixed it’s definitely not worth it to buy now better wait.

Im playing on Day 1 Xbox One and yeah there are some pop ins when you load into town but other than that its a lot of fun. I dont seem to be having that many more issues if at all compared to what others have mentioned in the forums.
Curious, had you filled your drive with games prior to getting KCD, eg have to delete anything to make space to install it?
Please try turning off music in game, there is a slight chance it could add further streaming difficulties to data flow when the drive is having a hard time loading in all the textures…

I have on xbox one S and I have very few issues. Totally worth the buy.
I got it on PC they bought it again on xbox, and it was worth the money if only to be able to drive a horse without getting carple tunnel. Bug wise, I’m not noticing any more issues on xbox than I did on PC.
No that was the first game. But now i have other games installed too.

Ive tried looking around for updates or if its yet any better on xbox one and cant find anything.
Im still hoping to get this game but not if its still ‘broken’, so you xbox one users, is the game playable now? Or would you still say its still a little broken.
I cant find this game at my local shops anymore, (asda & sainsburies no longer selling the game, local grainger games and other game stores have closed down) so il have to buy from the xbox store.

Works fine on xbox one. i only had one bug so far. literally this game hasn’t crashed ONCE unlike other games i have on the xbox. it has sound loops now and again, otherwise its perfect 
also i’m on nearly 1000hrs now. how many games can you say haven’t crashed playing for that long?
You should be able to get a good play through now. There is the occasional “stutter” where the game is catching up!! very occasional pop in, but I haven’t experienced any game breaking glitches or quest bugs on the latest patch… Looks like the 1.5 patch has also dropped today, which I expect will improve things even more.
I don’t think you will be upset with the minor bugs that there are now.
