Worth getting yet for Xbox One?

As the title suggests. Please try and refrain from totally bashing the game, I think it does look amazing from a few videos I’ve seen., and I have been reading posts for a little while now about bugs and glitches etc. whereas others have said it runs fine on the Xbox.

Or would it be more sensible to wait until patches have ‘fixed’ the game?

Cheers.

Edit: Im a huge fan of the Fallout and Elder Scrolls games and I’ve always lived with bugthesda and still find those games playable, so is Kingdom at the same level i.e. with bugs and glitches?

If you have a decent pc, id suggest you buy it on that. There seem to be a lot of problems and bugs with both consoles at the moment.

I’m on Xb1X and have had very few issues. Game looks great. Can’t say for the base XB1 though.

Xbox doesnt have the huge bugs that playstation has (like corrupt saves) about performance/Texture pop-ins there seems to be different experiences… I dont know why that is
The most severe on Xbox are QuestBugs I assume but they should get fixed mostly with the next update
If you like what you see I’d buy the game but you could also wait 1-2 more weeks to see how the patches work out

on standard xbox one you can probably expect a lot of crashes, short freezes and graphic pop ins right now but other than that almost everything should run fairly smooth. if I you’re really excited for it I would at least wait until the 1.3 patch is on xbox because the crashes have been very frustrating for me.

Cheers for the replies. I wish I had the funds to get myself a decent PC but unfortunately just isn’t in my budget. I might wait until the new patch arrives, hopefully wont be too long. The missus is away this weekend and was hoping to get Kingdom for the weekend.

Those playing on Xbox one, would you say the bugs and glitches are on par with Bethesda games? Because if so, i can live with that until new patches arrive

much worse in my experience, i’ve never even used a forum until after the upteenth crash while trying to check the quest log on KCD. lots of sessions ended early over a progress losing crash causing me to give up and try again later.

the problem is that somehow it doesnt work equal for everyone
some have xbox1 and play without a problem, some cant even start the game
same with playstation… it runs best on pc atm…

I don’t think there aren’t as many in this game (possibly due to less general content) but the ones i’ve experienced are extremely frustrating and can be game breaking if you forget to save before checking your map, which is ridiculous in my opinion.

well thats me done…kingdom come? trade in here we come!
crashes galore, loading screens of 2 to 4 minutes for every bit of dialog and longer on fast travel…nice try but a tip for future reference…make your game playable before release…i’ll revisit when this is a few quid pre owned or with games with gold :+1:

definatly worth it on xbox one s.
the game has quite a lot bugs, but These are on all consoles or pc the same.
it has several bugfixes released by now to fix the main quest Story bugs and ensure good experience.

graphic wise you wont find any difference, whether you Play on pc or xbox or ps4.
the game has a Problem with objects popping in and dissapearing up to a certain distance on all plattforms.
of course if ypou buy for console you always have everything maxed and everything turned on graphicwise.
laughing at pc Players, with big machines, expensive Cards, that only can Play games with grass turned off or mods for better Performance.

never crashed on my xbox one s and i am very glad with it.

I can only tell from my own personal experience playing on Xbox One S. I’ve encountered only two crashes there in about 70 hrs now. Bugs are definetely a thing. But even there I did not encounter ones that could be defined as game breaking.
Texture pop-ups can be quite an annoying issue. But just like the bugs that I found not one making the game unlayable.

From what I’ve seen in videos it looks much nicer on powerful PCs (which is no surprise), but it is still pretty on consoles. Although more optimization would surely have made graphics on consoles even better.

So personally I say: just go ahead and get it. But maybe Iman one of the few exceptions that do not have game breaking issues. Or it’s just that the other ones who don’t just play the game instead of crying about it on the forum

maybe the ones “crying on a forum” and not the ones “accepting any old shit” have a point?..and maybe by letting WH know about their shoddy game release…everyone gets a better sequal/s?

I don’t mind little glitches like pop-ins or outs of objects, cameras facing wrong way etc or even the odd crash here or there. I don’t have an Xbox One S, just the original so hopefully it runs the same as it would on a Xbox One S (i have no idea about the difference with Box One and Box S) from what some of yous are saying.

I do find it hard to believe some people are having problems say on Xbox one and then someone else using the same machine having hardly any problems at all.

Decisions decisions, I may flip a coin haha.

@tooooooon20 I mentioned in my post I was hoping to keep this thread civil without bashing or spitting dummies out.

Topic was merely about the performance and peoples experience on the Xbox One. I couldn’t care if you want to trade it in. I don’t mind some bugs or the odd crash, I just want to find out from sensible players an honest opinion or answer in a civil way.

my problems grew the further into the game i got…i’m on the XB1X and my silent on every other enhanced game console, sounds like it’s a jet trying to take off with this game ,badly optimized is my guess!

I would wait. It is a great game, but it has mild to heavy issues

well get it cheap used…for half

Definitely wait. I’ve completed the game now on Xbox One S but I had to skip half of the quests I had because of bugs and the negative effects those quests would have had on my game and corrupting my saves, certain main quests I had to cheese to complete because of how bugged they are.

The second half of the game had more bugs and glitches than my first 30 hours of play time. It is a very fun and good game but it would be 1000x better once it’s fixed. I wish I had waited so i’d say to wait.

How many hours in are you? Just curious. I have xbox1 X and after about 50 hours or so, I started getting crashes when going to MAP or Menu, randomly. In the beginning, this did not happen.
