I cant pedal/put pressure on my swords whenever im using a grindstone, none of them work. I tried to load back prefious save games but that wont fix it aswell.
I have the same problem on PS4, I also tried reloading older saves but noting worked. (Even hitting the grindstone over and over with my sword didn’t work!!!). Only thing I can think that may have caused it was I tried to sharpen lots of equipment to bump up my maintenance, after sharpening an axe for the first time, L2 to move the wheel with your foot didn’t work anymore. Hope this is in the “other bug fixes” for the next patch. 
Jut happened to me, today, as well. XBOne. Anyone know if this will be addressed in the pending update, or do I need to restart?

Just happened to me. Do I need to use an older save or just deal with it until they fix it?
Additional. I have checked both of my play through’s that are separate on multiple different saves on both. All.
ALL grindstones do not work now.
Why gives guys? Seriously?
Gratful I guess I didn’t get 1.4 after all lol its sounds like they aren’t rushing and they re releasing a professional patch this go around don’t get me wrong I expect bugs and mission issues still but if the game is 80 percent functional I won’t bitch the problem is really important features or game breaking,bugs come into play rather than side quests here and there that can be reported on passed over by players and ,patched with the next patch
