Can’t play this game at all it takes a while to reload, and I’ve seen the loading pictures so much, I can draw them from memory.
Is this priority for patching? Would rather have Pop-Ins or bad textures for now then not being able to play at all. Need my KCD fix, going on 5 days without playing, and withdrawals are fading. But still looking forward to the rest of game and hopefully KCD 2. And a big props to the War Horse team for there dedication to this game, fixing the bugs, and listening to our feed back.
I didn’t have that exact problem but my X1X version of the game caused so many crashes that, along with the lost saves and hideous pop ins, that I called Microsoft to complain. The guy offered me a refund before I even finished explaining all the problems. He said they’ve been inundated with complaints since launch.
if you want to play without crashes costing game time: brew a lot of SS, save every fucking time you go to anything past the horse tab and never fast travel. still gonna have crashes but cutting out fast travel and using my inventory as little as possible has brought my crashes down to only when I need to check the quest log. I don’t know about you but listening to the whole spill about wenceslas and sigismund over and over is going to drive me insane

This is making the game unbearable. I feel like such a mark, I adore this game and probably got half a dozen of my friends to pick it up only to reach a point where I can’t even access my quest log without crashing the game. I just don’t understand how a game can be released in this state.

I’ve encountered this a few times, when i try to select a quest log, the game crashed and bounce back to the xbox dashboard. Nice feature i guess. I’m on X.
But did they remove the game? After the refund, cause it’s on your hard drive? Also I’m thinking about deleting everything and reloading, maybe the patches don’t work on old saves , because the old saves we’re saved on the bug version of the game. What do y’all think?
Yeah GodSavesYou, I also just use my phone to check what quest I want to do. I completed 3 then go to quest log, reset then right when I start I can check my quest log fine so I pick 3 more, complete then repeat.
Well, it’s a bit preposterous that you even have to do this.
My X1X crashes in menu moving across to quest tab, almost every time.
This…i’m on X too.
To avoid game crashing while moving across quests you have to first open the map (D-pad up) then press the Y button to access the inventory. In this way the quest log is more stable. Some crashes still occour while fast travelling.

This does help, but basically anything with the menu can crash and crash and crash… and then you have 2 really long load screens. I’m just about to shelve the game until it’s more stable… sadly. The game was more stable before the patches, now, it crashes on most menu activities.
As of March 16, first day with new patch, and it’s fixed.

Xbox One X is vastly improved with the latest patch 1.3. No crash in hours of play since.
