yes for a xbox x is the grafic terrible. your right. but it is a littel better than with patch 1.3. and yes, your also right with skyrim on switch. i have that game also on the switch…
Works fine for me!
I’m sorry, but ‘starting over’ is not a fix, in any way. After 100 hours, you think I’m going to be psyched about redoing another 100? I have a life outside of this game. They need to get it right so we can move forward… not backward.
I have redownloaded the fully patched version of kc:d and open a new game, that works very well.
try this. My first try with patched version (1.1/1.2/1.25/1.3/1.4.3) and old savegame was disappointet. (Xbox one X)
By the way, reinstall the game would save some memory place.
This is odd for me, but i found that if you pick up the halberd then drop it from your inventory drop the halberd will disappear after 1 in game day. Keep this in mind if you pick up halberd after halberd it doesn’t work, you have to manually drop it from your inventory screen. I did this for several hundred halberds, painful, and time consuming, but game did improve some. SOME, but not much, but sadly i kicked several halberds through the map by accident to, so can’t get them all. Keep in mind though the game is horribly bad to do this. There are cups, bowls, brooms, arrows, and various other items throughout the world that have also been dropped, you will never find or ever get to despawn. My recommodendation is to roll to an earlier save, even shaving some time off will help as the halberd drop is time effective. I had a 139 hour playthrough. I rolled that back to 1.2 and lost about 50 hours, but my game was flawless in play after that. So i lost that time, but i was able to continue with 90% of what i had. Did have a considerable amount of bugs and quest issues throughout my completion playthrough which i enjoyed to finally see the end of the game. very good, and very pleased with everything. Just hope they actually have enough money to improve the game beyond just the glitches and quest fixes. Want more of the actual game for sure.
This is not productive at all. People are trying to help so no point whining about it.
Letting the developers know how many people this is affecting and what the circumstances are is exactly productive. You know what isn’t productive… guessing you know what the developer’s priorities are and cluttering up the forum with wasteful comments.
Is there a difference between the One X Vs One?
We have people making suggestions for you to get over the bug. Getting angry doesn’t help anyone. Best for you to try those suggestions and let others know if it works. Have you even tried them?
Very little PieFrost. Texture quality, shadows, light and vegetation is almost idendical.
The xbox one X version is closer to 30 fps in cities due to it’s higher CPU clock speed. The draw distance on xbox one x is also slightly improved but not noticeable during game play, the loading times are also faster. The biggest difference between xbox one s and Xbox one X is the resolution. Xbox one runs in 900p and xbox one X in 1440p.
But if you expect a fully upgraded one X game with 4k textures better (i mean really better) draw distances and LOD, better light etc then you will be disappointed.
The only REAL difference that you will notice between the one X and the standard xbox is the resolution.
I have played both versions.
Just an off the wall question to Xbox owners saying they are lacking memory space.
Have you considered the aftermarket add on memory kits for Xbox’s?
I have one on my old 360 gathering dust. I’m pretty sure there are Xbox 1 ones too.
I do know that the jittery stuff that Xbox users are experiencing is not due to memory space. Too many people are having this problem that have tons of space available. But yes, add-on drives are a solid way to go rather than having to delete files over and over.
I have had stutters before this patch pretty often, but it had nothing to do with memory. I had about 400gb left (1tb xbox one X). With this patch it’s really playable for the most part. But graphics are really bad
Thanks for that, seems like an extremely CPU bound game.
whitedragem and I have come to that conclusion as he has been giving advice to help my system run better.
I don’t have a fancy large multi threading CPU so my cpu is very often as “busy as a one armed paper hanger” and over worked.
It is CPU intensive and it seems the boxes cpu’s are a little worse than mine than mine in some ways. So the game is a little nerfed for them with consequences.
Sort of correct.
A patch will still download tonthe next available part of a drive.
Fragmentation of game data is easy to create.
For many the solution is simply to copy/backup the game off disc and then copy game back on. (Ideally after some cleanup)
A nearly empty disc can be heavily fragmented.
Everyones usage is different.
The external disc upgrades can have bandwidth limitations imposed on them with the usb bus.
In the pc space we moved beyond sata to m2 interfaces that inject the drive data right into the cpu/memory chain avoiding even the sata bus limitations.
External sata (e sata) is a thing for a reason. Limiting interfaces ‘get in the way’.
USB is not ideal.
Although…
some console games will run alright from external storage (definately not KCD).
Near empty drive not equal to optimal drive.
Game with multiple large (>20gb) patches has fragmentation.
Users who delete there install and redownload full game have vastly less issues due to this…
The existing problems weren’t solved, I’ve seen this too.
Starting a new game however is the fix if you can call it that. They basically fixed it from happening again. I’m about half way on lvl caps after 143 and no shakes. Polearms still everywhere, but much better game play
The cooling fan for the water-cooled system on the OneX runs flat out, even putting it out in front of the TV with nothing near it, it still cannot get enough cool air, which tells me that the demand on the system is extremely high to run this at 1440p. Any other game runs fine, system runs nice and cool. Id rather see this game at 1080p on the oneX with better utilisation instead of running it right to the very edge for a higher pixel rate.
