OK, so I’m on latest patch (1.3.3) Doing this (pretty known bugged) side quest (The king’s silver). I already did the part where you have to check the mill (and kill the bandits), and the waterworks (all fine). Then I proceed to do the mines. As soon as I load up my savegame (a little close to the quest marker indicating the guarded entrance to the mine), it shows a quest update saying “kill the bandit leader”. That’s linked to the “Prey” quest (since I can save the game right after it, and the savegame title will say “Prey”. The only problem is I never talked to Captain Bernard about such quest, so I have no idea what is making it trigger).
Anyways, back to topic, I tried finishing the “King’s Silver” quest in every way possible: going to the miner’s camp before entering the mines (camp NOT “officially” marked on the map at anytime during the quest); talking to Nemoy before entering the cave; getting a silver “bribe” from nemoy; picking a fight and killing nemoy before entering the mines (doesn’t trigger the cutscene of him being pushed down the mineshaft by the woman, which I guess makes it impossible to complete the quest); going back to the camp after escaping the mines; taking the woman back to Rattay; not taking the woman back to Rattay… phew! You get the picture… I tried EVERYTHING.
Every time I go back to Feyfar to report it, I’m able to complete the quest, but the “Report the silver find to the Chief Engineer” part ALWAYS fails. So… who’s the chief engineer? Is it Feyfar? And what “Silver find”? For sure it’s not the “bribe” I once took from Nemoy (Henry says “give me the silver and I’ll keep my mouth shut”, and Nemoy just gives you some 450 groschen, and not any quest related silver).
The quest is extremely bugged (I’ve read it about it before, but I had mo idea it was this much), and it absolutely killed it for me 
I guess I’ll wait for a patch to solve it before going on… oh well, if anyone had further success with it, I’d really like to know how to do it.
