@OP, its only Alpha whats the big deal, even if u get to download and play the game its not like u get to enjoy that experience much since its still in Alpha stage, calm down no point getting all work up after all there other things to keep u occupied while u wait…
It’s kind of embarrassing to see some people so upset over the alpha not being out the moment the clock struck midnight to make it October 22 where they live.
It’s even worse when you take a moment to understand that this is little more than a tech demo that will begin with allowing you to walk around and little else.
Just yesterday they mentioned, right here and on Twitter, about encountering bugs and Dan himself was getting a lot of crashes while testing it on his own computer after doing the download of it. If that doesn’t tell you enough to know that it might not quite be ready for release today, I don’t know what else to say.
And, you know what? That doesn’t NEED an immediate update on the website. They may get things worked out today and it will still be released today. If they can’t, I’m sure we’ll be updated then. But, sitting at your computer counting the seconds in hope of being the first to download the alpha? I guess it’s great you want to try it that much, but a little perspective is in order.
None of this makes Warhorse look unprofessional at all in my opinion. Nobody there is hiding from their supporters. Stop getting up in arms over this and wait like a mature adult.

If anything was unprofessional about that, it was ordering pizza and not telling us what toppings they chose. Maybe they should be surviving on bread and water to appease you, though?
And, please speak for yourself instead of trying to suggest everyone should be questioning Warhorse because the alpha isn’t quite ready yet due to some unexpected bugs. Get ready for more of those once it actually is released, but I’m sure they want to eliminate the worst ones so people can actually, hopefully, load it and get into it first.

I think many of those that complain (and probably many of those that don’t complain either, but those are the good guys! ) don’t understand what alpha really means. I think that they believe that it will be a restricted and buggy beta.
You won’t be able to “play” the game, you will mainly just be running around and reporting bugs, if you actually even get into the game. Give them time and let them fix the necessary bugs to make them ready for launching the alpha. It will just make the alpha experience better.
If people were to compare this alpha to, for example, Destiny’s alpha, they would find an entire universe of difference between the two.
Point of order. There were two disastrous omissions here. The more important one being: thick or thin base.

I would have been very surprised if the game had launched at 00.01

they’re doing the best they can to get us all involved and playing the game , you only get to run around a village at the moment you all know that right ? it isnt going to be exciting and heart stopping it involves running around a village attempting to break the game and report your findings .

personally I expect it on thatany time on that date meets what is specified but maybe I’m just not impatient.
holy crap how impatient can you be, they have said its coming on the 22nd, that does not mean it will release at 12:01 on the 22nd, I know thats how a lot of full release games work but this is nowhere ear that it is an alpha.
it could in truth release at 11:59 pm on the 22nd and their statement would still be fine.
you really just sound like an impatient brat and I’m really suprised with the number of people who have seemingly agreed with you.
