After over 150 hours, I’ve finally completed KCD. I’ve loved this game…for better or for worse.

I’ll admit, Warhorse got off to a real rocky start. I can’t remember a game I’ve had as much of a love/hate relationship like I have with this one.

The immersion breaking parts were the things I’ve hated. Missing cutscenes, minimum random encounters (during most of my duration with this game), graphics not loading properly, feeling invincible because of a poor character upgrade system, and stupid character animations when they pitch their arms when speaking during cutscenes.

I loved the environments! I really felt compelled to explore. I witnessed NPC’s brawling in the streets, random grave sites to dig in, humor, well written dialogues, a challenging combat system, great story, atmospheric mood lighting, and of course…Henry.

Henry, at first, felt out of place for me. I did however grow to really appreciate the voice acting and really solemn nature of his character. Henry was exactly the character I needed and didn’t even realize it at first. It’s easy to be thrown off with him, because he isn’t a John Marston, nor a Geralt. But…Henry’s evolution into a “hero” is where Warhorse won me over. His evolution happens so slowly…kind of aggravating, but the pacing is really perfect. It wasn’t something I appreciated until after completing the story.

I am excited for whatever content Warhorse brings to the table. This game is truly a gem and I can’t say enough how privileged I feel to have played this game exactly in the time of my life when I needed it.

I would give this game an 8.5 out of 10.

Like your review: wish it were longer so I could spend more time with it.

Cheers.
We (family) really enjoy cuttimg a living in Bohemia.
Each day we set out and earn enough money to cover living costs whilst saving for better clothing.
Maintaining ourself being the game.

Restarting every so often for that ‘fresh off the boat’ feel.

Ground breaking is an understatement with this game. I honestly can’t think of another game to compare it to that has as much depth. My favorite little added ounce of flavor, that this game pored out in such abundance, was the riddler. Sure it was only 50 groschen, but I have been a fan of riddles since I was a kid. Very nice.

As far as bugs, I hit an infinite loading screen after the siege of Talmberg on my first play through. Had a few critical error crashes but nothing that hampered me for more than a few minutes. Then i was right back in having a great time. Half of the things I heard people crying bug over were what I considered to be intentionally challenging aspects of the game play. I liked the save system. I liked that you had to pay attention to the quests and could easily fail some of them. WH was not afraid to play to a focused audience and I am thankful for that.

I give it a solid 9

The Riddler was definitely one of my favorite parts of the game. Even my wife, who isn’t a gamer, would stop what she was doing any time the Riddler appeared in KCD. Such a great piece of side content!
