General Bug in Alpha 0.21 and earlier

NEW GAME; works not properly!

When you start a new game and finish a quest (or more). Look at your Questlog.

After that, start another NEW GAME

You are on the beginning, BUT the game is not correctly resetted. The money and inventory (from the first game) is away, the Questlog NOT. That´s the reason for some Questbugs (and crashes)!

Example: Make the quest with the lost sheep. In the first run you bring it back. From the shepherd, you became a tourch and 2 groschen. Now you start a new game. Go to the sheep and bring it back.
Message appears: Sheep is home.

But at the shepard there is no reward and no dialog option.

Workaround: After playing the game, exit the game and start KCD new.

Just another (very)small one…
Graphic Settings
Show FPS

I put it ON, but the next time i started KCD it´s OFF.
Every other graphic setting looks okay and is saved.

When pushing the exit button in the main menue, before the confirmation appears, the gameengine crashed (hopfully) once.

Today it crashed two times in this place

This is the end of the log

There is a problem at the info screen. Maybe it has to do with Steam!

First the facts:
It happens on the info screen.(Press ENTER to continue)
It dosn´t crash!
Nothing happens if you press enter.
You can wait 10 min. ,… nothing changes.
There is no [ESC]ape funktion.
No console, no ingame screenshots.
It happend min. 5 times.

And there is No Logreport.

…BUT there is a work around.

Open the task manager, and kill the >GameOverlayUI.exe<

The gameoverlayui.exe dosn´t disappear.
The steam info appears in the right lower corner.

Close the taskmanager. Press ENTER.
You are in the main menue and everything works normal!

(>gameoverlayUI.exe is Steam<)

Has anyone the same problem? Can anyone confirm this?

(I started KCD over 110 times and this happend about 5-10 times)

If you set up details to custom (at the advanced graphics menue) and press apply in the graphic setting menue the setting will be reset to “high”.

This bug depends on the resolution you start a game.

I tested this with 1920X1080 and 640X480.

Start the game with 640X480.
Go to the hut. Change the resolution to 1920X1080. Start Alchemy.

Look at the buttons/descriptions. [E] READ/USE is okay. All the rest of the buttons is extra small.
(like 640x480 resolution)

Now start a new game with a resolution of 1920X1080.
Go to the hut. Change the resolution to 640X480. Start Alchemy.

There is only [E], the other buttons are invisible (out of the view field)

What happens if you start a new game with 1280X1024, and change it to 1920X1080?

Or to 640X480

The first buttons (part of the HUD), “remember” the resolution at the start of the game. They don´t know that the resolution has changed.

One more:

Vegetation Distance (Advanced Graphic) dosn´t work (correct).

Start a new game.
Change the slider to max. Apply!
Quit the game (completely).
Start a new game again. Look at the options. The slider is at max., but not for real.

Look at the picture. Under the trees are no flowers.

Move the slider a little and apply.

Now to max. again. Apply!

Look at the picture…

Now we have maximum Vegetation Distance(again)

Every time you quit and start again you must change this, because it´s reset…
