10 fps on lowest settings

So I bought the game and installed the beta and I started playing. It was abit laggy but I thought hey its a beta you turd. Run through it having the time of my life survived a couple of game crashes, Still having fun. Turn on FPS and it stays around 17-20 when I was doing quests out of combat. Then I get to the main battle and I suffer through it at 10 fps ^^.

Currently at 8gbit ram, AMD Phenom II x6 1090T with a Geforce GTX 770.

I just ordered:
Intel Boxed Core I7-6700K 4.00 GHz 8M Processor
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 970 4GB
and 32GB of RAM.

That should be enought too run the game smoothly right ?

P.S Not the most knowledged about PC’s

holy SH*T 32 gb of RAM

Yes.

You should be fine. I can get 30fps and probably even better if I was a pc guru. I also have 32gb of ram.

32 GB of RAM? How many games can you play at once? Interesting how few bother stating whether they have SSD’s, but I’m sure with a boss system you have several in RAID.

One can understand massive amounts of RAM if your system doubles as a CAD or large format photoshop workstation, or otherwise part of some render farm (3D or video), but don’t believe the hype gentlemen.

Damn, I figuerd if 16GB of RAM is good 32 must be great. Yes I have a SSD.

32GB RAM are badass

Thats the spirit!

Let me know how it works in the game (FPS), okay?

I will probably increase my ram from 8 to 16 GByte.

I have had low memory issues at both 4GB and 8GB in the past. So far I have been fine at 16GB. If 16GB ever becomes too low, then I will upgrade, although that will involve replacing almost all my hardware, since 16GB is my motherboard’s limit.

I didn’t bother mentioning before, since you said you have already ordered them, but buying a 970 now, so late in the generation is probably a mistake. The 10 series will be released very soon. If you’re buying new, and not getting an amazing deal, then maybe you can cancel the order and get your money back. Even if it’s store credit, you can put that towards the 1070 when it comes out next month.

Yeah I will get back to you

Fuck it, I will run this card for now and when the game gets closer to launch I will get the 1080.

I have:
i7 4790K
MSI GTX980 4G
32GB RAM Corsair Vengeance Pro
1TB SSD

I was able to set it to highest and play smoothly at 30 FPS and above on Alpha 4 (been a while, since I have capped internet and can not download the game, again)

By the way, game looked beautiful as hell, too.

Damn 1tb ssd sounds juciy! How much did you pay for it ?

I got it a bit after it came out, maybe about 6 months. Its a Samsung 840EVO series. And it’s freaking awsum. I think I paid $400 and got FarCry 4 for free. This was in November 2014. It’s been my main drive in all my setups since. I don’t use it as storage or anything. It’s my main drive. OS + steam w/games. Everything is on here. I use my 4TB HDD for downloads and backup game folder and such. I’m waiting to cross to the next gen i7 and MSI mobo. I want to double my RAM so I can utilize the RAMDisk feature in MSI mobos to load a whole game onto it and play it off RAM. I tried it with Dragon Age: Inquisitions. Load screens were about 1-2 seconds. Plus, I didn’t suffer the dreaded bug where the longer you keep the game running, the longer it takes to spawn item and weapon drops from downed enemies. 'Twas great. If you can afford all that crap, go for it. I know I will.

Boys I fucked up, god, im a noob. Processor wont fit in motherboard need a new motherboard.

This is exactly why I had my brother-in-law set up my new PC for me. Didn’t want to mess with the motherboard :0)

Was so happy when it got delivered. Then I removed to cooler and found a big ass one under it. i7 was tiny compared to it.
It is fun learning about PC’s with this trial and error method of mine ^^

Most motherboard manufacturers will list compatible CPUs. Some require BIOS upgrades, but there’s nothing you can do if you got the wrong socket type.

I know that know yeah :<
