i know but i start playing this game since day 1 when the graphics were awesome after the patch it became terrible and pop ups star appearing i dont want to play it in it current state and im bore of it as a sanbox i already have best gear including saint george sword and more money for 3 playthrougs
Oh, don’t be so dramatic. Buying a 16 GB flash drive just means you can’t get that Big Mac meal for once, and the point is it’s more useful than having for just one game. You don’t have to be Bill Gates to buy a cheap flash drive, and given your internet situation this is something you should have already been doing to ensure your save files are backed up for all games, not just this one.
You said nothing about not normally paying full price for games. You only said you don’t pre-order. Keep your stories straight.
But, you go on and keep making excuses when people give you a reasonable alternative to cloud saving.
Why are you even debating flash drives lol? This forum is overrun with smug chuckleheads who spend more time derailing the threads of people who are having issues than they spend even playing the game…
Because the guy doesn’t want to use cloud service to back up his saves while the corrupted save issue is being worked on, and a flash drive as an alternate way to back up saves is commonplace.
Is this a difficult concept to follow?
i dont even have my ps4 plug into the net most of the time so i can have my comp on lol, oh its not like its some huge disaster, im just pissed off so much of my time has been for nothing in effect. meh just had a shit month and when i cant even come home and chill out on a game it sucks and i needed to vent
also in hope maybe they will fix it, so i can go back to playing it and escaping life.
Can I ask you a serious question? Where do you live? I’m only asking so I’ll know never to move there.
haha, its not so bad we have lots of sheep and mushrooms
Happened to me, TWICE. First time it was after 12hrs, the second after 25hrs. Same issue, seemingly normal buggy crash, I reboot, my save file is “corrupted” and I’m forced to start a new save file, game starts and all my saves have been deleted. It’s so upsetting. I’m playing on a PS4 with the most up to date version. Has this happened to people on other systems? It’s torturous having to start over again and it’s torturous giving up on the game because it’s so fun. DAMN!!!
no this issue is only known from playstation
you can and should backup your saves either on usb stick or upload to the cloud
at least until the next patch is out
dont know why others havent done this especially with the problems people are having on console
Im on PC i could load a save, but game is crashing after reach some point of story and there not solution too… Just wait for the patch and pray that it would fix already broken game progress…
I dunno how on PS4, but PS3 was could saves limited to wait 24 hours to actually have possibility to download them, because of protection against save cheating…
Its better that nothing, but really recommend people such things, there consoles like Wii U, where you have to hack them to do such things like saves backups…
I’m in the boonies myself, bud. It’s either satalite , which is friggin expensive or dial-up. All you can really do, for now at least, is pick up your helmet and gloves and carry on. Sorry that’s not helpful, but it’s all I’ve got. Keep yer stick on the ice, lol.
Same thing happened to me the other day.
Same exact scenario happened to me man, and I am on Xbox, a lot of us it seems are in the same boat. they gotta fix whatever bugs are causing the save files to go corrupt. this fix needs to be in the next major update or the one after. I don’t even know if it’s worth it to start over right now because who knows what will trigger this event again because there are apparently several quests with the potential to initiate it. Disheartening to say the least…
I’ll say it again: if you know it’s a problem on consoles and they’re trying to fix it but you want to keep playing in the meantime, back up your save files. If you don’t and they get corrupted or you lose them, you have nobody to blame but yourself. No excuses.
@flashfire. No one to blame but yourself? I get the you’re a backer and all but come on now. Why are you trying to put it on the consumer. They sold a great game that wasn’t ready, gave it a triple A price point and we’re the ones that are suppose to worry about whether the game gets saved or not? That’s a little unfair. I mean the save mechanic is pretty important, you would think they would of at least taken the time to test that.
As a consumer, we have the right to expect to get something we paid for. As of right now, this game falls far short of the triple A pricing. Half the community will be finished with the game before the patch gets out. As of right now, this felt like a cash grab plain and simple and I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels that way.
Read again what I said. I’m talking about save files getting corrupted on consoles. This is a known issue that is being worked on.
As I said, if people are not taking precautions to protect their save files, whether by uploading to the cloud, copying them over to a flash drive, or whatever else, and they keep playing, they risk having it happen to them.
Back your stuff up. Do it daily. It only takes a few moments. Then if you run into a problem, you have a point you can restore from without having lost too much progress. Otherwise, either wait until it’s verified as fixed or take your chances. If you feel like being risky, don’t complain if you get burned. A little personal responsibility is not difficult.
So Wales then ?
I am trying to restore my files as we speak now which apparently is supposed to be synchronized everytime I start the game with my backup files stored on the cloud. Supposedly it should replace the corrupted save with the last known good save if Microsoft detects a copy has been corrupted. I have a little bit more research ahead of me to figure out why this isn’t working as it supposedly should. Let’s try to keep thread civil guys, we all like the game and we all have good valid points to make.
Glad you mentioned backups though, I honestly just overlooked it. Hopefully, this will get me back to where I started. Either way I will be more carefull in the future for sure.
