A deeper hardcore mode

How would people feel, say for a (Deeper) hardcore mode.

1- Ai don’t always kill you when they best you, robbed and left for dead.

For example you lose a fight with a bandit you see them say oh I like that helmet. you awake after being unconscious but battered and bruised finding you have been robbed of the helmet and some gold. A bandit says before a fight “I’m taking them Noble shoes” you fight harder because you know if you lose he is taking them. This basically gives another added incentive to weigh up if you want to fight or flight.

2- robbed as you sleep.
you wake from your sleep to find you’re being robbed at an inn. You can tackle and get your money back…if you are very tired you can not wake at all. (If you are making your living being a thief, you are More likely to be robbed, but also more likely to wake) these could be perks.

3- your horse inventory can be stolen.
You can wake to hear your horse rattled as someone trys to loot your saddlebags. Or if left your horse somewhere nearby as you shop you hear it outside , options to Give chase to them.

4-You can be poisoned by Ai be it food or their blades.

5- Bounty hunters. You can be chased, hunt and kill them before they kill you, pay them off.

6-Ai robbing other ai houses. Might be good when you have your own town to watch over.

7- Miller’s don’t just fence the stolen gear. They set you up with a buyer. That you have to meet. This can work out smooth. Other times they’ll try double cross. Other times they’ll rat you to guards. Basically it’s always a risk selling the stolen gear. You can gather intel on the buyer to find their intentions even do recon of the meet point, Or just be lazy and hope for the best.

8- having a stable that costs money, horses should die.

9-getting more diseases sickness,( not all the time but in a realistic manner) wounds need treatment after a good battle or they can become infected long therm. constantly out int he rain, would promote more need for the potions.

I like all of this.

You already can get sick from eating bad food, though. Unless you have the Human Dustbin perk, you get sick/poisoned from eating rotten food.

You must not be able to get access to your horse’s saddlebags unless you’re close enough like you do this with a normal chest. Currently you can exchange items between your inventory and saddlebags on ulimited distance. Magic!

Speaking of horses, bandits and Cuman should try to kill your horse. Your horse should be able to die (not fall down and recover after a while)… sorry Jenda :cry:

Yeah. Horse must be killable. If you lose your horse in a battle you have to buy a new one.

Ez. Jenda should be available in horse factroies after several days/weeks (depending on “quality” or “grade”) again for full price.

More than bad food, general disease should be a greater challenge especially if weakened by combat. Debuffs should
stick around longer (eg concussion). And, after a certain point, wounds/injuries should permanently damage a % of respective part of Henry’s body

Real hard core would put a limit on stock and replenishment rate. thoroughbreds don’t grow on trees. And, horses would require food and water to maintain full health. iow, if you keep driving Jenda without giving time for eating and drinking, he should suffer commensurately

Horses should die. You finish the game with way too much money and not enough consequence.

Ideally you should have a stable and have to pay upkeep for it. There you can keep your horses. The more horses you keep the bigger the bill.

you could keep one you prefer and one for battles. You want to risk your good horse. Do so but if it does die. It’s gone. Harsh but fair in conjunction with the stable option.

5 +6+7= amazing! Horses should cause damage when running through an npc. “Fix your war horse WH”-Metatron. i think it would be cool if you guys made it where you cant just walk up and take peoples food from the pot without speaking to them first and asking for some and if you get caught maybe a fight or a penalty, that would be “hardcore”. a bigger thing that i would also like would be for more chatter/life/laughter/ and economy between the npcs and a bit of excitement at the taverns/bar like maybe a bard or wenches or knights or bandits passing through with different numbers sometimes 10 sometimes 2. I would also like if possible to take criminals into custody and turn them into the bailiff.(like taht one quest where they have a cuman locked up in the barn. (im on PS4)

I’m okay with horses dying, but not until there is a proper variety of horse armor in the game. Riding a naked horse into battle is just asking it to get shot out from under you.

Really like the animations the enemy NPCs use now to pull or knock you off your horse. That said, trample and allowing your horse to turn a tighter circle would be really nice additions… and, please make mounted Cuman (archers and lancers) happen beyond Run

Wounds should take longer to heal. horses shoundnt be able 2 run full speed as long, and what i mean is your horse should have 2 rest as well. if you ride it full speed from Ratty to Skalitz just to pick a fight with some bandits you shouldnt be able to make a return trip as fast without resting or allowing the horse to rest long enough to catch a breathe, the poor thing. boars should do more damage unless encased in metal! deer should run faster rabbit/hairs should also be a bit more shy. Temperature?

I can tell you thought them all through and thoroughly.

There are lots of toilets in the game that are completely unused! There should be a meter that fills up and when you sit on the toilet [and pass time] it goes down. The Poop Meter. Of course diet should affect this. You will want to get a lot of fiber and only eat fresh food or your time needed to sit would be increased.

Perhaps add a whole new skill tree with unique perks?

I’d settle for the latrine carrier animation… have yet to see it. Antonia just seems to sleep or beg.

You do know that hardcore mode dlc is releasing right? Is it already released?
I like these ideas though.
