First of all am not criticizing the game and i love the game.
it would have been nice if there was gore in the game i mean this games aims for realism and the sword fights back then used to be really nasty blood everywhere head fling arms cut off but i dont even see blood in the combat.
Who needs bodies chop, when you’ve that cool system of armour damages? It’s much more interesting. No games does have this system. We need to bring new things, than to use already ones.
If about the subject. It’s hard to make with such a system of armour and other stuff. Really, it’s very hard.
Yeah your right there system is amazing and i have no idea how hard these games are to make so i guess your right just saying it would have been a nice touch to the game.
Maybe, moders are gonna be able to make something, but we still need to respect the work of WH and Viktor Bocan. They made a cool system and mechanic.
It would be extremely difficult to de limb a person especially in armour. Even a lightly padded armour would pervent this greatly nvm chain mail, splint, leather or plate armour. But I do agree that in lighter armour troops there should be more blood (slash and stab wounds) but a fully armoured opponent you won’t see much.
Gore is always appreciated, well for some people
I love gore trust me! But it has to be well done and some what realistic. I don’t want to kick a guy and see blood everywhere. But if I slash a light armoured opponent I would love to see a bloody cut with a small blood spray.
I can see what you mean about blood. I wish that if characters would bleed when they die a pool of blood would form and if the body is moved it would leave a trail.
So much yes too this!
Did anyone else see the screenshot where a sword is sticking out of a dead body, I wonder will this happen to your character ingame
I do agree, a realistic level of blood would be more than what I’ve seen. People bleed a whole lot from mortal wounds.
I saw a video or two where there was a little blood but even fighting in plate mail there should be a good deal of blood. I mean a strike that pierces the armor or goes between the plates would hit the stuff underneath and i feel as the fight goes on wounds should probably become more apparent as one cut even a small one doesn’t stop bleeding for a while so thing about actually having a stab wound and you keep moving that part of your body, It is going to have an extremely difficult time clotting. I agree if the game aims for realism there should be a good deal of blood, However i also agree what they have done so far is absolutely wonderful and i hope to see this game become one of those that stays alive for years to come through dlc and the community.
Maybe its more of a degree of fighting with bruises and broken bones with plate mail? I mean… If you have chainmail underneath it you will not get cut.
a lot of presumptions here. even if you slashed a guy without armor, it’s likely that the blood would be absorbed by the clothes. there’s blood spray in this game as visual feedback in addition to seeing the enemy stammer, topple. but realistically, the blood would be soaked up by the clothes instead of spraying everywhere in most hits. the exception being hits to the face, neck, head, hands, etc.
So we should still SEE more blood than we are now, right?
Idk you have a good point.
probably less on plate armor and stuff. for regular clothing, light armor, the blood splashes look about right.
Dismemberment would have been nice in a pinch. Obviously someone in full armor isn’t probably going to get a limb cut off, but I’m sure unprotected heads did roll when a skilled soldier/swordsman went through it.
EDIT – A downward strike on an unprotected head would have made… Quite the mess. Just thought I’d add that in there…
It’s still hard to make, believe it. In old games it was easier, cus they had only sprites or pixeled 2d/3d models, but in modern games with 3rd and lots of things - it’s a hell to make. They even had a hard time to make bed scenes, so, just don’t ask about something almost unreal.
