Which is perfect. Cause you have to kill 3 guys chasing Ricky, perhaps random soldier near quarry, possibly two cumans if they spot you when you go one of two ways you are told to. All of that without any stamina/strength skill or armor or possibly without any previous experience with combat system at first 30 minutes of the gameplay
I’m considering the need to fight or run for your life that early and time limited quest the design flaw.
Please be wary, that beta starts somewhere mid game. In released version you will have probably quite a lot of combat experience and equipment, so it won´t be such a big deal.
And if you pay any attention, you can notice that there is second quest which clearly says - GO GET SOME COMBAT TRAINING.
I can’t open the archers ahest in the Merhojet camp -> crash to desctop… several times.
The same appears, when I try to open Reekys treasure in his fathers garden…
EDIT: Now I even have CTDs once I open a sack full of apples… and my horse is sleeping…
at least it walks even slower than I am, when I try to gallop… with all These CTDs, the BETA is getting pretty annoying… sadly…
It also seems, that a lot of NPCs, that had some kind of a dayly rhythm in ALPHA have completly lost it. The soldiers in the camp don’t sleep anymore… they are standing around all night and you can sleep n every bed you like…
And one thing is desperately missing. We NEED a “DELETE” button for the save-games…
Well - I am almost two hours into the military camp - accomplished nothing

I started game -> ran straigth to camp to get training. Saved here
Started training fight - our swords were big red balls, apparently missing model or smthing
Loaded game - for no apparent reason, all the guards here were attacking some guy with mace and shield - I have no idea why, but they killed him.
I tried to loot him - that alerted guards which accused me of stealing - I tried to pay a fine, but at that moment another guard accused me - before I could do anything, third guard accused me, and in the meantime other guards started attacking me.
Well no training for me
Unplayable for me. Keeps crashing.

Its very far from being Beta as far as performance goes. Beta supposed to be almost finished game, just polishing bugs.
Don’t let activision and EA soil your idea of what a beta truly is, they use it for marketing. Their betas have already been tested. KC is doing a real beta, and the backers are the testers.
Alpha: incomplete + bugs
Beta: complete + bugs
well, seems legit to me, apples looked different back then^^
This is a limitation of the screen space reflections (real time local reflections) that the Cryengine is using.
You must understand what beta used to really mean - it was supposed to be BETA test, that means that you add features into the game, and somebody has to test those features as we are doing right now.
What EA and other guys do is usually much closer to final performance/stress testing, when they usually test how their infrastructure holds up during their free weekend session - if their servers survive those insane influxes of players (6,4 mil for division in 3 days? huuuuge) they know their servers can handle anything
Squishing some final absolutely minor bugs on already thoroughly tested game is just minor bonus.
even if you meant 8GB RAM instead of 8MB RAM your PC would be below the minimum requirements
personaly i can run the game perfectly fine with “just” 8 gigs of ram. but keep in mind: the beta is still not optimised very well. this will change eventually but i guess for now you will have to sit and wait, sorry
The weather system looks awesome when it works, but gets very glitchy for me as in your picture. Then the shadow/sun areas become some kind of thin stripes on the ground that suddenly change when moving through the world. (Win 7 64 bit/GTX 780 Ti)
Hi,
I’m scout at the cuman camp in the forest and duelled with two guards just outside of the walls. Once I killed them and went inside - enemies just run away and don’t want to fight me even as I slash them to bits.
Many objects are invisible: they still cast a shadow and participate in collision detection, but cannot be seen:
I can’t seem to get the animation to quit when I first start the game. I’m whacking away on ESC, ENTER, SPACE, etc. It only notices when I get to the point where Wencelas is boffing the lass on the picnic table. I really don’t need to wade through the into animation every time I start the game.
That´s the loading screen…
It´s not a bug its a feature.

Please, please, please, make sleeping and passing time go more quickly.
Ahhh… It’s all my fault for have a less than lighting quick SSD?
While I’m whining about stuff… How the #^$%#*! does one get a torch to actually become a light that will never fail?
