Change this horrible system of save!

This system is really bad, I’ve lost several hours because of this same save system, often do not sleep or we do not have the necessary item to save …
his is very annoying … a game so beautiful and so fun to have a ridiculous error of this.
It’s so simple, esc, save game, game saved …

This is a very sensitive topic…

For saving option fix…

It is beyond me why any developer would implement an approach to saving a game as we see in this game. People sometimes have to stop playing due to unforeseen circumstances and the game punishes people for these situations for no good reason. Make saving a game possible at any point in time without needing to accumulate a specific in-game resource to do so.

Seriously, Why on earth did this get decided on? Sure its a novel idea to have a hardcore mode option but please for the love of god make it a toggle option. I don’t want to use a third party mod just to enjoy the damn game! I just lost 5 hours! there’s no save point in the middle of the damn woods.

The save system is bugged for sure. But it’s so easy to save your game. Make savior potions, sleep in a bed, or go to the bath house. You are not supposed to save before every fight, or before every game of dice. I like the save system it makes you have to be careful.

I agree… I think it is well balanced and there is no problem to go to the pub and save the game there.
I like this save system as well.
I wonder how many ppl complained about creatures respawn in Dark Souls III and its saving system

Like D0D said save system is like this so we need to live with the consequences of our choices in game but they for sure forgot to add the save and quit option in to the game, all it needs.

I agree this could be a problem for someone (not for me) and it could be added there…
But it would be funny if devs were like: “yeaaah, medieval times were harse… deal with it”

Yea, it is.
Many players hate this “alcoholic” saving system.
Others accept or like it. Me too.

And the “Retterschnaps” (dunno the english name, sry) is very cheap!
The one requirement which i had for this saving system, were fullfilled - a stabile running game with no CtD’s.
In 30 hours of gameplay, KCD crashed just once.

Creating saviour schnaps is really easy and non expensive  , btw I love the alchemy system!!!
I hadn´t a single crash in 36 hours of gameplay

My crash was in the loading screen, if i remember right.
Even Witcher 3 crashed more - and this was a damn bugfree game.
For me are W3 and KCD at same technical level.

And if i think ago to the Beta, that was no fun. x’D
60% Chance to get a crash while in loading screen. “KCD stopped working.” Haha…

They are implementing a quicksave on quit system that will delete that save after reloading into that save, the point of the saving system is to prevent the player from save scumming, the quicksave on quit will save the game temporarily when you quit the game and reload that quicksave when you start the game again. Other than as other said crafting saviour schnaps is extremely easy to the point of costing maybe 2-3 grochen to craft one, other than that you can install a infinite save mod.

@grimaudus The Alchemy system is fun to work with, but it’s pretty limiting for the ammount of known poisons, herbs etc at the time it’s small which is why I’m personally expanding it for myself but I’d love to actually be able to extend the alchemy table one day so that you have more than one god damn pot and to be able to use more than 3 items for each potion. The crafting system in general in this game can be expanded on so much, smithing can be added to actually include a minigame or a multiday crafting time for a sword with actual quality level based on how well you do in the minigame, animation and everything is in there, it just needs to be scripted and cobbled together.

Or ca. 91 Groschen for one already brewed at the inn.
THIS is really cheap! At a specific point in the game, its possible to get easily over 1500 Groschen.

That’s the point!
From KCD i learned to not reload a savegame, if some decision happened which i didn’t liked.
I’m really thankful to WarHorse Studios for this lession.

Aye honestly I love it, the only time I save scummed and reloaded like a quest back is when I literally got stuck not being able to progress because I healed a guy before actually having to heal him and beating the crap out of another guy that afterwards just auto attacked me whenever he saw me. It’s not even profitable to buy the saviour schnapps, also they sell it for 77 in Sassau at 0 influence and without haggling.

By the time you reach mid-game if you don’t have at least 1-2k grochen saved up youre doing something wrong, money is extremely easy to come by in the game, go hunting or roam the roads at night and beat the crap out of the bandits who have wooden sticks.

cough I collected over 3500 Groschen by just playing (30 hours actually) normal mainquest, sidequests and stealing expansive armor from the “brave-less knights” (or how ever they are called in your english version).
I wondered why they are spawning such often… if i see one, i get off the horse, knock him down, steal all expansive items and that’s all. The rest is waiting that the stolen Items get “unmarked” as stolen and then selling.
Hunting? For what? Beating bandits? For whaaaat? x’D
I’m okay with the heavy spawning knights in the wilderness.

Did 2 playtroughs 1 with Nice Henry and the other with Satanic Thief, Murdering Bastard Henry, nice henry made only 8000 grochen with the most expensive armor sword etc, bastard henry made over 25k grochen with the best armor etc. So saying that you don’t have enough grochen to buy 25 saviour schnapps which would last you probably the entirety of the game is just a blatant lie.

Just brew them people!! The damn recipe is already in the book when you open it first time!! GEEZ

I’m sitting at about 20 hours and I’ve probably crashed 4 or 5 times. Nothing to bad, didn’t lose to much progress. One crash happened when i touched a bush, that one was strange.

But don’t you first have to learn to read before you can do that?
