I definitly got better at it…
Personally i think if the vibrating is gone it would be to easy for me.
(This sounds like i think im one of the better players but just a personal experience)

I really hope, that this problem will be solved by different modes like in M&B or TW. Personaly i Like the lockpicking, saving and overall difficulty. I can’t manage to pick a Lock? Well, sad for me, Cheat keeps locked. Can’t win a Fight? Im going Back and try again later. I have Not much time to Play Games, But when i do, i Just Like the exploring and all. Its Not that Bad if i have to replay 30min.
For the saving system: give the Players that News ist Free saves (i even think save in Exit should be in there, because its described in the Tutorial. Maybelline its Just a Bug?). But please make the Free save optional. Because when its there its hard not to Use it.
I’m with you mate. I like the system, you just need be a little coordinated to get both thumb sticks moving in synch with each other.
The new Railway Empire game has something similar with it’s “pause” function. You can have it pause when the game wants it paused but you can choose manual to pause whenever you like. This does affect your rating at the end of campaign scenarios though.
So having a choice for manual or Schapps saves shouldn’t be a problem. The big question is once you chosen schnapps saves could you later change to manual and vice versa?
I think to make it balanced it would be better to not allow you to swap after the game has started. Otherwise the manual save system might as well just be implemented into the main game, and I don’t think that would be fair to those who enjoy the current schnapps system.
Yes! Hopefully the save/quit thing is optional because I’m fine without it and I don’t want to keep saving right before taking a risk
I agree. For me this is the best RPG experience I’ve had in years. If people looked more to solutions instead of crying, maybe they’d manage too. I swear my four year old is more patient than the average gamer. Teach Henry to read then buy books for him and he’ll learn, practice the skills he wants to master and he’ll master them… I don’t see the problem at all.
Personally, I’d be happy with a simple “Pause” on exit that essentially saves my game, but doesn’t actually use a save slot. That way I can put my game on hold when I get a call to pick up a sick kid at school or want to squeeze some KCD in when I’ve only got 20 minutes or so.
What I don’t understand is why anyone thinks I shouldn’t be able to do that in my own game? I’m not sullying their perfect, save-less playthrough. Many of the arguments against implementing any kind of save on exit boil down to “I don’t like it, you shouldn’t have it.” I don’t like that the game has a global chest system, but I’m not about to demand nobody else should be able to use.
As for lockpicking the system is night and day between the PC and console. The console is hard as hell, but the PC is a breeze. That being said, I hope the change is minor. The rotation with the left stick needs to be smoother and it shouldn’t vibrate if the right stick is in the sweet spot, only if I drift out of it. I don’t think they even need to do anything drastic like increase the sweet spot, just smooth out the controls and feedback.
I agree with you guys… People are far to quick to say something isn’t working or a bug without fully understanding the situation. Look for another solution, there are loads of different ways to complete each quest… you dont even need to lockpick anyhting.
Lockpicking becomes easy around level 3 with controller because of the durable lockpick perk. I’m unlocking hard locks at level 8. I like that this mini game makes you practice to get better at it. I hope they don’t make it so you can be level 2 and be able to unlock very hard locks. That would be ridiculous.
They will do, because of all of the people complaining that it is too hard instead of practicing and levelling up.
I realised that if you move the left stick in one fluid continuous movement, its pretty quick and easy to open locks, the right stick is really just to hold it steady.
This is going to upset me. Everything in the game requires the player to practice, lock picking is the same. Theresa uncle have a chest to practice on unlimited times
Exactly, this is the thing I love most about this game: Henry starts as a noob at basically everything and its explained in the lore, for him to grow and improve, I have to grow and improve and the only way to do that is through practice. Why on earth would anyone expect to become good at something new in three days, which is how long the game has been released. Do these people want a participation trophy too?
Hopefully it’s just a setting adjustment. I loved how I failed at lock-picking - several times! It’s how it should be. As for saves with schnapps I thought that was a great feature. I’m hoping schnapps will help my lock-picking…
Yes! I used the Millers chest to level up 2 times before trying the quest… is this not just normal? i thought it was common sense? what do other people do? not bother training on the millers chest?
Apparently not. Going by all of the complaints, it seems like people expect to be amazing at everything right off the bat, no skill no practice nothing. I say to these people: just watch a movie.
It is nice to read a comment from someone who actually understands what the game is…
Noobs changing games … One more time
I used his chest to level 6 to get the deft hand perk. It makes lockpicking even easier.
