Changes to Saving + Lockpicking are coming

dont worry about the horse too much, its not yours anyway when you’ll grab one at talmberg castle

I think not… for example, myslef wants the lockpicking system from Thief (2014) preview version.
It was the same like Oblivion but more dimensional. And i know that WH will never implement it.
Because most people hated the Oblivion lockpicking. I mean these people who critism now the game for his real based medieval mechanisms! FACEPALM bj

Hm, I think the tutorial lockpicking should indeed provide unlimited picks.
However, when I started this, I never left the box until after a few times, I suddenly tumbled away and could not retry because the message ‘you have no lockpicks’ came up.
Had to load a save 3 times before I got it just to pass the tutorial.

Lockpicking isn’t that hard to be honest, the problem is that controls seems designed for console controllers, same for combat system, the controls were certainly not developed with mouse & keyboard in mind and this is blatant for lock-picking or for the combat system, but at least for lock-picking once you have it figured out it becomes easier, combat, especially parades is a mess on keyboard…

Currently level 6 and soon level 7 for lockpicking and it ain’t a problem, btw anyone knows the level needed to unlock harder locks please ?
Found a treasure chest but i cannot open it for now, it’s a hard level for the lock… Thank in advance.

As for the save system i had no problems with it if the game wasn’t crashing, or if i wasn’t getting stuck in some odd places, or if some unknown reasons one quest was not ending bugged and i had to restart all over again, or if while i sleep in the correct bed there is no save done, or i f p press the E button for making an action and i end up pickpocketing someone by error because i pressed it a micro second too long ( this needs separate controls asap ) and so on and so on…

to make it short : the save system had been ok if the game was not released half backed with so many problems…

Lock picking has to change. It’s not something you can get skilled at on console, it’s purely fluke when you manage it. It’s not very responsive and the lock is constantly vibrating despite being in the sweet spot

This is in fact the biggest issue for me right now. I modded the hell ouit of Skyrim and Witcher 3 to eradicate any pop ins. Thew popins in Kingdom Come is atrocious in comparison even at absolute max setting

but there will be people who exit the game to safe, and then going back in. it takes more time, but the result is the same. they can safe whenever they want and then try it again.

I think this is simple mechanics where your last exit save is overriden… So you cant go back in progress and try again simply by quiting the game

In fairness if someone is going to go to all that bother the deserve it ha.

I like the save system as is . But I agree not having a save and exit is pushing it.

and what is the problem here? as i know this is SP game every player have right to choose if he want to play realistic or skyrim style ( quick save/load) but its a game made for people who want fun and want to play . some people find enjoyable that realistic mod others like quick saves

Thanx. That’s what I wanted to hear

I actually dont mind lockpicking anymore. The main problem with it is that you need it before Peschek properly teaches you. After that I found myself able to pick most easy locks, well, easily and I am up to hard now

This.

I had some problems with it too but now im quite good with it and i manage to open 90 percent in one time.

I have the feeling a lot of people get discouraged to soon and just want it to easy.

Dunno, I have like 16 hours in game and didnt have any problem with lockpicking or saving… I haven´t even died in combats yet… I dunno, maybe Dark Souls and Bloodborne tought me a good lesson after all

Why will it bother you? It’s a SP game so what other people are doing in their game is their business. What’s been asked for is a save on exit, so when we quit the game it saves and then deletes that save upon resuming play. No one has asked for saving anywhere when you want BUT even if they had then YOU just wouldn’t need to save if you didn’t want to. So how will that affect you?..

So what? It’s their game and they can do whatever they want with their game! It won’t affect you.

Was trying to learn how to pick the lock on that same chest, and yeah I was so bad at it I broke every single pick that was given to me by the miller HAHA

Exactly

I still don’t understand why people have a problem with a completely separate mode being added in that would allow manual saving.
I could understand people not wanting it if it was going to replace the current system, but that is not what we are asking for.
We want the current save system to stay exactly how it is and then just have a separate mode entirely that would allow for manual saves.
People who like schnapps saves are happy and people who want manual saves are happy. What is so bad about pleasing both camps? Isn’t it better to please more people without taking anything away from either of them?
