Same here, i thought the game looked extremely polished when released and was expecting more glitches.
Go play Morrowind and see how far RPGs have come since then. Withcer 3 was amazing. Combat was not the most adept but hating on the story and characters is a total one sided personal statement that really only reflects your opinion.
Im not judging kindom come: deliverance by other games. Im judging it by what it is, a 50 dollar rpg with very broken AI and a story that feels unfinished.
Of course they didnāt have any problems charging me $60 like a AAA game. I also had no problem paying it unlike many AAA games because it has $60 worth of value in the game. In fact, Iām willing to say, once all the bugs are patched, it can easily be an $80 game in how much value it has.
What is commonly said about Bethesda games like Oblivion or Skyrim, they are wide as an ocean but as deep as a puddle. This game, Kingdom Come Deliverance, is as wide one of the great Lakes in the U.S. and as deep as an Ocean.
They developed and produced quality RPG mechanics and a superb role playing game with a deep story, excellent characters and never hold the players hands through any of the quests.
For what started as a Kickstarter project, I am deeply impressed and I think this game blows AAA games with considerably higher budgets and larger developing teams out of the water due to quality.

In Russia KCD worth half the price, relatively to other games. I wonāt bother with calculations, as with prices they are always way off, but I think it equals 30$ in this 60$/30$ full price/half price measurement system you used to.
I think considering ive received over 100 hours of entertainment from this game, its worth more than 60 bucks.
Thats basically 60 cents per hour

147 hours before I wrapped it up and completed the story lineā¦and now Iām on my second play through going hunting with Hans. This game has issues, sure, but there isnāt a game like it out there, whether it works or not. This game is 1 of a kind and will be the start or more games like it. Return your copy then, doesnāt matterā¦WH did a smashing job

I agree. This game is garbage and was not worth my $60. I will not buy another product from WH. The gaming industry has a serious culture issue. 1) Unfinished games are becoming a norm. 2) Standards are lower. 3) Developers/ publishers do not have the ethical fortitude to resist pressure and release the game when it is ready.

Wouldnt say āstandards are lowerā,ā¦ definately projects have to be larger and reqyured work is a massive magnitude larger than games of old.
Which requires coordination of departments. Something console based carteidge games didnt really suffer from
Ever since the original playstation- game quality and size had to really ramp up.
Quality here refering to what the product contains amoungst other things.
Id definately acknowlwdge tgis game for some of its phenominal quality.
Just as a whole package it presently has a few areas lacking.
They are being worked on,- what you said about games being worked on even after release- which is not always a given- even when it is needed.
KCD has a life ahead of it and I am glad I discoveted it relatively early. (Week of launch)

Raging against WH is not going to help, sure the game could have been in a better condition, however they are trying to fix it.
My worries are when we can continue the story, and I would also like to see the game universe expand where its pretty obvious they just didnāt have the time to finish what they started. The cliff hanger is my number one problem with this game right now, I feel that iām not able to complete the game and from a quality point of view this is not a good way to leave people who play the game.
Iām pleased they sold a lot of copies, and I just hope they will use the profit to improve the game and to make good DLC for it, I will buy what the sell, but they need to get the stories in a better shape, as there are too many lose ends in many of them.
That is one of the excellent things The Witcher did right, the stories was rich and tight wrapped up with a beginning, middle and an end.
donāt know what youāre talking about? The game is great, imho. Of course there are bugs, like in every title. And the more complex and ambitious the game, the more bugs. thatās life. Although after the patches up to 1.4.3 on PC the game works fine for me. Definitely more worth than 20 USDā¦

Before we can discuss standards, one has to know what a standard is. I come from a military background thus I live by standards and Iāve seen enough games coming out at the $60 margin that donāt meet the same quality as polished games that do. Farcry 5 is a sandbox style game and yes it has some very minor bugs, but overall the experience is smooth and the game makes you feel like you are kind of playing in a movie. Games like Farcry 5 is the standard for all games selling at $60. Any game similar to Farcry 5 that sells at the same price with a plethora of problems does not meet this standard. I am using Farcry 5 as just an example.
You cant compare apples to oranges. Farcry 5 is a totally different type of game and puts a whole different set of demands on both programing and hardware. KCD is way out ahead of anything in its category.
