Never understood why people would want a computer for anything besides writing books and porn. It just doesn’t feel right to me not to have a controller in my hand.

Yes becuase gamepads and controllers exist solely for use on consoles.

i’m the exact opposite, my gaming history is PC only. i play a lot of sims and niche strategy games which don’t appear on consoles such as steel beasts, dcs, command ops, combat mission and graviteam tactics to name a few.

Gathering for the sole purpose of being flamed seems like an ill-advised plan to me. Most (albeit not ALL) people are very much joking and poking fun when they refer to their gaming platform preference as ‘master race’. The fact that it is TRUE is only a collateral fact. Now you have awoken the Dragon and invited him over for supper. I wonder what (cough** WHO cough*)the meal will be? I would rather let the issue resolve itself simply by saying “to each his own” and WHO CARES what platform a person chooses to game on? I use my XBOX game pad on my gaming desktop and laptop as often as my KB&M. I choose PC’s because they allow me that freedom (some games inherently play better with KB&M and some with a controller). Also having both a laptop and desktop gaming rig allows me the freedom of movement to play when and where I wish.
Normally I don’t take the bait but, your self defeating discussion/statement/ argument was of the ilk that awakens even the kindest and most diplomatic Dragons. Good luck coming out of this discussion un-burnt.

What you do on your computer in the privacy of you own home is your business (I’m betting you are not an author. . .), TKB. The first game was a computer, 22 years prior to home consoles. Likewise, the first game controller came out for the ‘Tennis For Two’ computer game nearly 14 years prior to consoles. You can buy pc controllers in just about any real game stores and places like Walmart. Every Windows pc can use any of the X-Box controllers and other console controllers can work with specific software installed (Xpadder, Scarlet-Crush Productions, MotionInJoy). As for games on computers: we have the ability to take a game and make it uniquely different through unmoderated mods. We often have the ability, through mods, to fix bugs that some developers refuse to fix. We usually have a larger selection of main menu and in-game options. Compare my specs with any console’s and you will have your answer. . .

And controllers belong with consoles in my opinion.
I will admit however I do play Mount & Blade and Total War. Those are two games I’d hate to see on console. I’ve played the PS4 version of Warband and its…its fucking terrible. Just god awful. Shouldn’t exist.
Naw, SirWarriant is the resident troll. I’m completely serious about controllers belonging with consoles only and M/KB being with computers. Obviously there are exceptions to this rule (TaleWorlds and that fucking god-awful mess of M&B Warband for the PS4. Never should’ve happened)

Which is basically true, though I have heard lots of stories, like "My 5 (10, 20, 500, 10000000000, et cetera) years old PC has 60 (100, 1000, 100000, et cetera) FPS with 1080p (4k, 8k, 100000000k, et cetera) resolution.
