BBC come close to being SJWs, but itâs not really about diversity in media. Thereâs also Indiaâs caste system, officially outlawed, but still practiced of course.
Youâd never see Tumblr feminists complain about actual cases of discrimination though. Theyâre more concerned with things like the gender wage gap, and pronouns, and how many awards black people get for acting in movies.
Haha there is no filter bubble when you are bombarded with the MSM and SJW every day on every platform. I play video games in part to get away from the msm and the SJW propaganda and today it doesnât matter if its ingame chat, an article about a game or the forums you canât get away from their propaganda. It has nothing to do with a filter.
There are complaints about non-Han participation/portrayal but in China proper⌠yeah right. Ainu and Koreans can be a touchy subject in Japan. In Korea, the politics of ě°ëŚŹ (we, us - iow Korean) is like a drug though this is waning

I agree that the call for diversity does mean too many white people but you are missing the point, this does not necessarily mean âAnti Whiteâ.
Itâs a simple math problem:
Protagonists in Movies and Games are dominantly white, so there is more white people than others.
If you call for diversity, meaning that you want to even out the white and non white characters, than it does in fact mean that there are too many white people.
Imagine you order a fruit basket. And you ordered specifically that there is a nice mix of fruit in them. But then you are shocked to realize that there are 90% bananas in that frigginâ basket. But you explicitly ordered a diverse basket because you like all the fruit there is. You call the fruit basket company and get mental on them and complain that there are too many bananas in your basket.
Does this make you anti-banana?

In Hollywood, there might be a lot of white people, but in China, India, Japan, Korea? No. I have no real problem with diversity itself.
What I have a problem with is people forcing all people that want bananas to also include some parsley in there that no one asked for, and no one wanted. Then shaming them if they donât want to include parsley with every bunch of bananas they buy.

By one estimate I heard (donât know if true), there are now 200,000 US citizens in S Korea. Most are not ethic Korean (mixed or pure)
I was talking about Korean media, film and TV specifically. I have seen a few non Koreans, including mixed race, but they are very much the minority.
Itâs because until recently Korea was literally one of the if not the most ethnically homogenous place on earth. After WWII, the Japanese and Chinese were largely kicked out. It was only during the 80-90s when Koreans didnât want 3D jobs (dirty, difficult/demeaning, dangerous) that non-white foreign labor/immigrants were even present. US military has imposed an American omnipresence on the peninsula (begat Hines Ward and others). ESL brought expats (largely and very much preferably white) from US, Canada, UK, NZ, Australia.
fwiw, in the recent Korean movie Operation Chromite, Liam Neeson was cast as MacArthur, not a Korean with prosthetics/makeup.
