Game is unplayable if you can't pick locks

I’ve tried the lockpick tutorial, failed it. ok I’m a NOB but try playing this game without money it’s just not anything but aggravating. What would be nice is a training area “FOR FREE” where you can practice endlessly if needed to become proficient.

lol just grab a bunch of lockpicks and the chest at the mill can be succefully locked picked 10 times before it stays open permently so there’s some easy lvls and lockpicking gets dramatically easy when you get the perk to extend the lockpicks durability. it’s shit at first but gets way easier. plus even if you are unsuccessful you still get xp.

Did that, didn’t get the lock to open. Chest is open no free lockpicks now. No money, to buy lockpics. Why don’t they just leave it be for practice?

there are many ways to make money so thats not an excuse ^^ also you can kill bandits they have lockpicks sometimes to loot.
When the chest is open just close it again, look away then look to it again and its closed again

Been back to it everytime I go to Rattay there isnt anymore free lockpicks.

you wont get free lockpicks (after the miller tutorial)
pick some herbs, kill some bandits and loot them, steal things and sell it to the miller, go hunting cook the meat and sell it
just make some money and buy lockpicks

You are henry, the low born son of a blacksmith…You must learn these skills through practice and scholarly pursuits.

ok I get it. But why not have free practice areas even if they are outside the game.

you can practice you just need to buy/loot some lockpicks
but in general its not a bad Idea to have something like a practice room where you can train the different skills and mechanics

This lockpicking is not anything close to what it really was like back then. you either broke it with what ever was handy or Skeleton keys. find correct key open lock like magic…

It really does get easy once you start gaining skill…I actually hope they don’t change it…YOu shouldn’t be able to do everything day one, like a pro

I am on PS4. I cannot, for the life of me, pick any locks. Its gotten to the point where i don’t even bother trying anymore. Its expensive to practice at my level and i hope successfuly picking locks are not a requirment for quest completition.

if you quit trying to lockpick right off the bat and screw around doing some side quest , even doing some main and explore you will inevitably have a good amount of money. which in turn makes lockpicking not that expensive. sometimes you have to fail to get further ahead, at first I thought it was impossible and complained and whined but after stepping away and giving it another chance I realised it’s not that difficult just have to grind man and once you get the extended durability perk its a whole nother game.everything in the game sucks ay first cause well Henry sucks but after training and honing your skills it’s rediculously easy and non challangeing.

here is a easy way to build lock-picking it work for me first earn a nice sum with dice 2k would be enough then spend all in lock-picks and go to the mill open it like 10 times and spend the rest in nearby chest once you have reach lvl 7 in lock-piking it will become really easy

i have a ps4 and dualshock activated

the 1 perk in lockpicking that you should get is the one that make them harder to break once you have that your world changes

kill bandits that lurk around towns. they always carry lockpicks.

try this exercise: tap your head with the left hand and rub your belly clockwise with the right hand. Then switch (rub your hear and tap your belly). Practice this 20minutes a day and you’ll get the necessary IRL coordination to do the task. Meanwhile, get some free lockpicks from killing bandits and practice on very easy locks around town (apparently the miller’s is harder than usual).

well that explains why I could pick locks, been practicing that since I was 4yr old

complete the miller quests up to where you need to see a miller up north. once you speak with him you can buy 20 lockpicks from him and sell stolen things.

then go back to peshek and you can buy another 20 picks from him.

you can complete the executioner part by waiting until dark and sneak in to his house and knock him out. his front door was open for me at night.
