Good to see you Henry!

“God save you Henry!” “Hey, Henry has come to see us.” “Good day Henry!” “Hello Henry!” Can we take it down a notch? Watch this video: https://youtu.be/21jnowHhBJA The Needle in the Haystack quest, where Henry needs to infiltrate the monastery as a novice named ‘Karl’. He walks up to the dude to begin the quest and the guy says, “Welcome Henry!” Henry says, “I’m the novice Karl, I’m expected.” and then the quest begins…nice!

“Good day to you!”

The greetings are silly in 99% of the circumstances where they are used. It irritates me to no end when I go someplace new and not only does everyone seem to know who I am, they are as excited to see me as a puppy is to see it’s owner.

They should reserve those kinds of greetings for shops and taverns you frequent often, homes, castles where you’re in good standing, and named characters you have a very good relationship with.

Now if only I could get mods on X1X like we did with Skyrim & Fallout.

There’s a quest where you have to escort an NPC to another NPC. You’re having a back and forth conversation with him the whole way. Out of the blue about 75% of the way there he suddenly shouts ‘Good to see you Henry!’ facepalm

Lol there all angry at me when I was done there I have a reputation of -74. I did go from a 90 to -74 how I don’t now.

But renown or something lol

The greetings echo inside my head, I could’ve sworn I heard Runt say, “Good to see you Henry!” I might just be loosing my mind here.

U guys will find anything to complain about. I like them and find them at time humorous.

It’s definitely not a problem they should worry about, but it kind of breaks immersion when someone you’re trying to sneak about around/fool greets you with “Oh hello Henry” :joy:
Not a deal breaker, but kinda silly

This gets rather annoying not just for me. You may just think of this as another nitpick. But I’m actually starting to feel like the Dragonborn again.

At this point there is no other way to take it but nitpicking.

Wonderful!

My mind has sadly gotten adjusted to it, it’s almost like that white noise that you tune out. Unless they’re all greeting me when I’m picking locks or some other illegal shit, then it turns hilarious. I’ll take another dive into the core files and see if I can find something to take it down a notch. For a peasant boy, that amount of greeting is definitely silly.

I could do with less greetings for sure.

It may be nitpicking, but as a software developer myself, I love when my users come to me with little things like this. The issue is minor and minimal effort, but it has an outsized impact on the product and my relationship with my customer. It shows I’m listening to their concerns and working to make their experience with my product better.

Given how small the associated PC mod is for this fix, Warhorse could probably address it pretty easily and without distracting them from other issues.
