I am in shock that this game was released

There’s a difference between you can’t play (unplayable) or you don’t want to play (not enjoyable).

Really? thank you

You’re welcome, always trying to help.

Hm, to be honest i don’t see that (as in ‘most’). I see people upset about all the bugs, crashes and more of such. And rightfully upset as well i think.
This game, in the state it currently is, should never have been released.

But you see, that’s not what OP was talking about. 2/3 of his complaints were about mechanics. Bugs and crashes are a completely different topic.

I have a bit of the same feeling too, I mean I still like this game, but more and more I feel like the we should be paid to play it instead of paying to play it since we are, in fact, beta testers for Warhorse.
yesterday when doing the Charlatan sidequest in Sassu, first I got the dialogue loop bug - whenever i choose the end of dialogue option it just come back to the last dialogue menu, so I cant end the conversation, cant pause, cant save, all i can do is ALT+F4, and lose my 3 hours of gameplay. That’s absolutely gamebreaking. Then after I managed to dodge that dialogue bug, another bug jumped right in front of me when escorting the peasant in this sidequest to blacksmith . That npc just wandered and wandered aimlessly in the town while the banter suggests “we are almost there”… That’s the point when I really lose my patience and feel like being a close tester for some half-baked product.
In the end, the NPC stopped in the middle of nowhere - even further from the blacksmith then where he began this long walk, a cutscene jumps in showing that we’re teleported in the blacksmith’s place, so the quest can be done, I guess it’s not gamebreaking then. But after this I wish to ask - does the devs ever bothered to play this quest they created, at least for once? Due to these easily repeatable bugs I’m guessing the answer is no.
I felt genuinely sorry for the game because I can see how great it could be. Like this quest, I can imagine how hilarious and immersive this quest would be if I didnt encounter these bugs. However in reality it’s a frustrating and infuriating experience. I kept thinking about how good this game can be, if it received even a minimal amount of polishing, instead of being released like this.

Well maybe i just read his post wrong, but fps is an optimization issue, the thing with the boxes/chests could be due to player, but also a bug (i play on the ps4 myself and i had to restart parts multiple times due to things not working).

I just think, not know for sure, but i think a lot of people get frustrated, then complain about minor bugs. I play on first run xbox one and haven’t had a gamebreaking bug. I have froze up a couple of times but thats over 60 plus hours of gameplay. (knock on wood). I just don’t consider myself to be lucky and if i did win the kcd lottery, I’d like to refund my luck for winning powerball numbers

I see posts of people that play on the ps4 that did not have anything gamebreaking, yet in the first few hours i had to restart the game/quest multiple times due to gamebreaking issues. Issues that as far as i am concerned should be in the game. If people only complained about minor bugs then great, but that is not the case as i see it.

I’ve read people complaining about lockpicking so much times…And many of them actually afterwards stated, that with training it’s not that hard. I really doubt he is having a bug making locks unpickable, for he just started the game and simply can not have the ingame and/or real life skills to pick that many locks in the prologue.

aand 20-70 FPS simply don’t render a game unplayable…i even highly doubt, that he has “70” FPS at any time? Sounds not like its possible to me, though i dont know his system.

Maybe that is the case, i cannot speak for the OP. Could very well be that he did not get how lockpicking works. However it could also be that the ‘trigger’ to open/talk was not working. That is something that i experienced f.i.

This was my exact same reaction to the game after a couple houers. I even ranted about it to a friend. Horrible gameplay with impossible mechanics. Full of bugs with some sad moments.
I agree it’s rough some places but when I sat down and gave it a few houers more it grew on me.
I learned the mechanics. I’m a rich, good armoured, good rep, flowerpicking maniac. And i haven’t even gotten drunk with the priest yet.
Is a real RPG that needs time and learning experience. You need to be willing to give it some time and explore it. The more you play the more you love it and the easier you’ll forgive it’s flaws. It is after all just a game😊

It is very possible. At 1080p I can have as high as 80 fps on high/very high. Om ultra I get 55/60

Still your Monitor is likely to only have 60Hz which means 60 changes per second which means he is limited to 60FPS. Wasn’t talking about the computing power but the depiction.

Ah. Mine is 120 hz

Well then you’re lucky, looks like you got kind of a powerful machine. Still most players don’t have something like that so this was my assumption.

Hello again;
Well, i just posted my thoughts about KC:D and a half of the people in here already criticies me.
That’s quite unusual. Also, it seems some people demand some answers, right ?
I will be nice and i will answer them, so…

  1. I am not an idiot, if i will not buy genuine copy of KC:D, i will not complain about it.
    So Sherlock, that’s for you - STEAM_1:0:20944336
  2. My rig: I5 3670k 3,4Ghz, 16GB, SSD, 970 MSI, well optimized and maintained. I think that rig is good enough to get more than 20fps on medium settings, right ?
  3. I am not a newbie. I’ve been playing games like Baldurs Gate from their RELEASE date, so if i am telling you, that none of the boxes can be open, it means they cannot be open for any other reason than “compalining about game mechanics before learning to play the game”.
  4. I spent a bit of time learning about KC:D, but it’s impossible to win with such a number of technical issues.

I don’t believe this can be fixed with 1 or 2 patches, there is a lot to do, and i will be happy if this game will be playable before summer.

Do me a favor: Play a bit. Do a few Trainings with locks and so on and then Come Back. Tell me what’s different now that your lockpicking is Level 3. After that i’ll Listen to you complaining about the chests.

It is not about the chests only. Game is way too bugged. Don’t see a point to play any further at the moment.
Playing game supposed to be enjoyable, but it is not when you are losing 40fps just like that without any reason after you turn left, when quest items like horses disappear, when you got black screen after finishing conversation or being trapped on (the top ?) of grass after jumping from bridge.
I really don’t remeber i’ve ever encounter some many bugs in one game in such a short period of time.

It is game breaking when it happens,a lot.
