Well If you don’t wanna argue about the chests don’t Bring them Up as an Argument.
Again, where exactly have you searched for the horses and when exactly (Progress ingame). So we either can confirm a Bug and report it or find a solution for you.
About the Performance: there are already a Lot of Threads complaining about Performance issues, no need to Bring Up a new one If you’re Not Interested in solving it.
The “hate company” is more likely to be from tumblr, m8.
Excuse me, is it my job to solve performance issues ? I am on Warhorse payroll list or something ? I don’t think so.
And i will bring new up, cause i paid for the game. I don’t care how much you don’t like it.
Argue about chests ? I simply confirm that they cannot be open. Maybe it is a bug, maybe something else, i’ve found a dozen of similar topics somewhere else about lockpicking, so i am not the only one.
Where i’ve been looking for a horse ? In a stable. Later in the whole castle. Later on the whole MAP. Everywhere i could walk before game informed me that i failed that quest to find a horse. When ? After that option showed up in my diary.
Wellll said sir
I love this game to death and have already logged over 120 hours in it as well as being an original Kickstarter backer, but man, it is in an extremely woeful state technically. As I have written somewhere else, I don’t really care about the visual glitches, people sometimes walking around headless. I also somehow accepted the fact that the game performs like absolute ass even on my midrange-ish PC (I am running an i5-4590, GTX 970 and 8 GB RAM, 1920 x 1200 on Windows 7 64bit) and I had to go about downloading some mods to fix freezing and stuttering issues in populated areas. I am playing on low, mind you, but the game kept hitting 100% load on some CPU cores and so it kept freezing. I downloaded a little software helping with that, it’s a little better, but the game still performs terribly. Developers are to blame for that, not the players.
But the amount of gamebreaking bugs present in the game is simply astonishing. I know the game is huge, but damn, this definitely doesn’t feel like it has been properly playtested. Yesterday, I have lost over 20 hours of gameplay progress because of a gamebreaking bug and I couldn’t do anything about it. There are numerous people reporting serious gamebreaking bugs at this stage - the main questline is so bugged for many people that it feels almost impossible to finish the game (I tried to warn others about a particular one which is very common on Reddit, see here https://www.reddit.com/r/kingdomcome/comments/7zz5ap/do_not_complete_pestilence_sidequest_before/).
I think Warhorse should not only work hard to fix all the gamebreaking bugs ASAP, but they should also consider providing any future DLC free of charge to those who have purchased the game, because many people are not even able to play it right now (and I am saying that as someone who will receive the DLC for free by virtue of being a backer)! I held off on playing the Beta as I didn’t want to spoil my experience, but it certainly feels like I am playing a Beta right now.
I love the game to death, but it is a mess right now.
Noones alone, even a top executive producer has come forth and said this.
Finally a voice of reason. This is what i was afraid, that further i will go, more problems i will encounter. I remember my first Witcher 3 experience, just after game was released. After spending around 50 hours in the game, i’ve encounter a bug which didn’t allowed me to play - crash after trying leaving skellige. i’ve been waiting weeks to find out, that because of bla bla bla problem is fixed, but i have to start my playthrough from the beginning. I don’t wanna have the same experience with KC:D - and this game is really buggy. So it seems it will be better to wait 3-4 months, maybe that will be enough for devs to repair this game.
Ehm, the only thing is, in 3-4 months this game will be half priced. So again, fool me once, shame on you - doesn’t, Warhorse ?..
A huge issue with this game is that it’s not only your own skill as a gamer setting the bar as to how difficult things are. Whether you’re a youth or some older person - it doesn’t matter. Casual gamer or hardcore gamer.
Usually in games, you can play as good as you yourself are capable of. In this game however, you’re limited by Henry’s skillset. Which initially is basically none.
You must figure out how things work, and then train Henry to become better at it. Your own character is an obstacle, kind of.
It’s a weird concept and one that is not at all explained in the game, which lead to these misconceptions that the game is just bugged and/or too difficult. But once you get to know it and if you can accept that kind of progression - it’s a lot of fun.
As for performance, I dunno. Your CPU and GPU could be a bottleneck.
I’ve got an i7 7700k and GTX 1070 Ti and I can run it at 60 FPS on Ultra fairly stable, some occasional dips when stuff is loading or if I’m in a town.
This happens in most games, it depends on a lot of factors. How they load stuff, how it’s streamed in. You can’t really just come and say “this game is unoptimized!” without providing us any sort of information. When do these dips occur? How frequently? Driver version and etc etc.
While I only have 41 hours thus far, I have encountered only 2 major bugs that could be considered gamebreaking;
-
One archer wouldn’t fire during a contest, thus it never ended and me moving out of the area lead to an automatic quest failure.
-
Getting stuck on a fence.
Yes, there’s quite a few minors bugs such as issue going up stairs and whatnot. But they hardly make it gamebreaking.
This game is huge and it’s not made by a AAA studio with hundreds of developers and multi-billionaire investors backing them.
That said, testing could have been more open and done better. But that’s a thing of the past. I personally think they have done a great job, CryEngine is a massive pain to work with and one that is pretty infamous for having shit-tier optimizations. That considered, I will cut them some slack.
I think free dlc to the first two week (assuming bugs will be fixed), is a good compensation.
I dont need free dlc as the game has exceeded my expectations, but for those that have gamebreaking bugs its a good idea
No it is Not. 20-30 FPS is Just fine for the human eye to be seen as a fluent movement. If you Mind the drops from 60 to 20 (which i can understand) then Set your FPS Cap at 30.
I agree, i think some misconceptions lead people to believe there are bugs
Please, stop with this non-sense. Yes 30 FPS is “fluid” enough for many, but can also cause nausea for a lot of people - me included. The difference between 30 and 60 FPS is tremendous.
You do realize that most games in the past were 30 fps or below right? Lol 60 fps is a relatively new concept. So lock your frame rate to 30
Your rig should gave you minimum 100+ fps on ultra in this game. This is insane you got only 60fps or lower ?! This is sick, this game is completely unoptimized.
Trust me, i know a lot about optimization. You can take my word for that. I do not believe, that my rig is good enough for medium settings only, with mixture of 20-70fps depending on map.
I know, this game been made by a smaller studio, with smaller budget, without EA or UBI at their back - and this is the only reason, why i am not ranting or demanding refund. They still have my trust, as long they will be fixing this game. I didn’t spent my money for fun, i wanna play this game, but without this ridiclous technical issues.
So you are telling me there is Not one Horse on the whole Map? Now that is a Bug. That’s the Information you need to tell if you wanna be taken for serious. Please Report to support@kingdomcomerpg.com with a description of your problem and also send your Savegame.
Yes, and Most (If Not all of them) where solved by Just gaining ingame Skill. It’s harder on console, But you are on PC, right?
You can Test for a Bug by installing sectorial lockpicking from nexusmods (https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/32) and test If there really is no sweet Spot or If it disappears. If so, report as stated above (with a Clean save before installing the Mod).
Nah, now you’re just being entirely and utterly unrealistic. I know, because I’m the president of the United States. Trust me, I know a lot about presidency. You can take my word for it.
With what exactly are you drawing the conclusion that I should be able to run this at 100+ FPS with my rig? It’s a demanding game developed on a demanding engine.
Considering it looks pretty darn good and all the simulation going on with the residents and villages - I still stand by my conclusion that they’ve done a great job. Even more so considering a lot of the data is simply stored in XML files to make modding easier as opposed to properly compiled resources.
But, you clearly knew a lot about optimization…
As for there being no horses, could you provide some video strolling through places where horses should be? It does sound rather peculiar.
Ok, i got it.
Have a nice one then.
Try altering FOV. Also OP stated nothing about nausea, only that it annoys him.
Well actually, this was stated long ago. The Devs always told us that you start at nothing, so you shouldnt be surprised when starting at nothing.
Cause it is annoying. I also reduce FOV. I am playing on medium settings, and the game doesn’t look great at all on that setting - so seriously, down to 20fps, average between 30-40 ? Absurd.
2 days ago i’ve finished Witcher 3 DLC’s, on very high settings, with constant 60fps, with demanding hd mods installed, so sorry, it is hard to accept for me such a low settings with such a low performance.
Halo 3 was 30 fps
