I am in shock that this game was released

While performance is pretty bad, there are, generally speaking, two parties involved: The Game Creators with their game and the user with their knowledge and rig.
Chests were bugged on the first day (no yellow indicator) but fixed on the second. I saved before using the lockpick for the first time and tried a bit until I got the hang of it. Let go and try again if it trembles too much. You’ll be better in no time. If you’re on console however, Warhorse promised to look it over as it seems to be too hard.

On my first playthrough I didn’t find the horse either, but it’s inside the Talmberg Castle, the horse you rode from Skalitz. If there are seriously no horses at all inside Talmberg Castle, you should make a screenshot of the empty stables and send a bug report to Warhorse.
You don’t need a horse, however, you just need to leave Talmberg. A failed quest just means you found another way.

Actually I haven’t encountered a lot of bugs at all. Once got stuck in bushes, once in a furniture, once henry was sitting the other way, and the “game-saved-message-bug”. That’s all …

The bugs, glitchy graphics and some poorly cast voice acting ARE problems that really should have been hammered out before launch. After 25 years of gaming i am fully aware that games ship with bugs, but anyone who says this amount of problems is normal is out of their mind or a blind fanboy. They should have waited 6 months and finished the game because it is clearly still in beta. It does Warhorse, the community and potential customers a disservice to not be honest about critical feedback.

All that being said, if you can muster the patience to look past the very rough edges there is a gem hiding in there.

Its just so much fun i didnt even notice the little things… And the main characters are all voiced very well. Hannush, radzig, hans, henry, some others as well. The side quests voices aren’t always very good… BUT, they are better than the raspy skyrim voice used for soooooo many characters

I think they should of delayed the console versions for a few months, it’s seems much more stable on pc.
I’m on PS4 pro and can’t even progress past the first 10 mins of the game because I can’t talk to quest character.
I wish I had FPS problems…

I dont want to say that the bugs can’t be gamebreaking, but I’m within my second playtrough (PS4) I’ve got to reload a lot since the 1.2 update to get where I am right now… But its still playable! Sure I lost hours of gameplay because of the bugs, sure I was pissed off because missions didnt work like they should. But I still see what WH created! Those (definately annoying) bugs will get fixed!!! I preordered GTA. And i even couldnt START it at release! This was annoying as hell, because it was published by a well known AAA Studio. Yeah, this game seriously needs patches, but at least its playable from beginning! And if not, then make a different choice for the first playthrough. And everyone whos whining because of Bowshooting, lockpicking, swordfighting -> GET LOST OF THE ONE BUTTON SLASH SYSTEM! This is a real milestone of gameplay! If you want to Lockpick, LEARN to lockpick! If you want to be a swordfighter LEARN to handle that peace of metal! I hate to write long messages because of my bad english, but this thread almost SCREAMED for my personal attention.
Peace and out,
Schniepelinchen

All I can say is that this game is not for you. Some enjoy it and some don’t. What might be good for you, might not be good for others. You get what I’m saying?

What resolution are you playing at? you should easily get 60 fps ay 1080p on high settings. Something is wrong if you are only getting 20. Have you tried removing the drivers and doing a clean installation? I had a similar problem once and it was a driver issue. Once I uninstalled the GPU drivers and allowed windows to install the generic ones, performance increased dramatically. When the next version came out, I used those with a fresh install and never had any problems since.

…Why are you comparing a console game from 2007 to a PC game released in 2018? How is that in any way relevant? 60 FPS as a target has been a standard for years. Only consoles have had a target of 30 FPS due to weaker hardware.

1080p.
Sometimes I got around 60fps, but second later it can drop down to 20. I had the latest drivers, I’ve tried with the previous ones too, I had a clean installation. Changing settings from high to medium gave me additional 5-7fps, cutting fov another 3-4, but this is still a joke. Even for a second I’ve tried on low, and even then i have fps dropping down to 20 ! Sorry but it is hard to blame my rig fro that !

This guy is complaining about bugs not difficulty

No, from His first Statement the problem with Lockpicking and Horses clearly Sounded Like a difficulty Problem that He Just didn’t get. After we asked him to describe more precisly and try different Things to solve the Problem He eventually stopped reacting.

Yeah if it is difficulty it is not the game for you, but he is 100% right about the bugs

I say again: we have him ways to try Out if IT IS really a Bug.
And how to react If These Bugs Turn Out to be right.
Because he didn’t aswer to that i See theese Options:
a) He Had no time for Testing
b) He Had no interest in Testing
c) The Bugs turned Out to be none

That is super strange… like really… do you have any kind of system analyser installed? Well before that, can you play other graphic intensive games fine? Which games and at what performance? If you have gpu-z and cpu-z installed, what are they telling you? Your card could be going into safe mode for some reason where it throttles itself down to 4 or 500 MHz. Can you check That?

I know it is. Yes, i do not have any problems with any other game. Recently i’ve played Witcher 3 - Very High, 1080p, HD texture mod installed - constant 60fps; Mass Effect Andromeda - Very High, 1080p, constant 60fps; Deus Ex Mankind Divided and Battlefront 2 on ultra/very high mix, also 60fps. As i said, my rig is not a problem, cause ANY OTHER GAME is working absolutely fine.
It is really funny, when i go outside the city - i am walking forward and just training with the sword - 50-60fps - no problem at all, but when for example i turn left second later - massive drop to 20-30fps. This is very odd, and really annoying. I do some testing with different graphic settings, but i cannot find any solution for that.
I just leave behind this horse issue, quest failed, but at least i go further with main story. Now i am trying to solve this box problem, still no luck.
I am quite patient cause story looks quite interesting, now i am focused on improving my lockpicking skill, will see, maybe one day i will be able to open something.

Because you claimed it made you dizzy and only the and 30fps isnt going to make you dizzy

Try posting a video of these FPS drops, they should be evident enough on video. Maybe they can spot some weird pop-ins that could be the culprit or something.

Well then that must be a miracle, having had issues with 30 FPS in games before. But you say 30 FPS wouldn’t make me feel dizzy, so I guess I’m cured.

Satire aside, there’s a lot of factors at play. How close you are to the monitor and etc. Console games are usually played on a TV several feet away from your eyes.

60 FPS has now become more or less a standard on PS4 and Xbox One, fortunately now that their hardware has caught up.

But telling someone to limit the FPS to 30 because it runs poorly, is just :see_no_evil:

1,000,000 + say the OP is full of it. Chances are he doesnt even play it.

60fps is not standard on the Xbox one, ps4, ps4 pro or even the Xbox one x. If you are just going to scream lies be ready to be called out.
