I really don't get the combat

I will say the combat is not immediately intuitive. But all along we’ve been wishing for “no more button mashing”.

Once you get a little good at it by practicing with Bernard and maybe buying some training, it becomes much easier. I am almost- almost- landing combos. But not long ago was was ecstatic when I could land a single hit on an enemy.

If he cripples you, then he saved your life  because you will not be able to fight anymore;)

it’s hard to feel at all like learning anything against bernie, since whatever you do, you are just hammered inceassantly either way.

Honestly, I think the Devs have purposely been a little shallow with some of the tutorials and help windows, to increase immersion through trial and error and exploration. It’s never as much fun to be given all the answers than it is to figure it out by yourself. Thats where I think this game excels compared to other titles. If you don’t read through the guides and watch the videos or view the spoilers and walkthroughs, your experience will be much richer and you will have a higher level of satisfaction.

This!
And i actually quite Like it, i think you’re taught what you need and Most Things are very logic when you think about them.

Thats how I felt from hour 10 through 15… Then I got the Rhythm of blocking and dodging… From hour 15 through 70, combos were impossible… Just within the last 5 hours am I able to finish 1 outa 5 combos on Bernard… So I’m getting there… Again, I think the Devs have done an amazing job… And the longer I play, the better it gets.

Yep… Again, the flow of the game is exceptional… You just need to leave the mindset you have been taught by most other titles.

And Take Up the mindset real Life taught you

I agree… But there are some hickups and glitches that break Immersion just for a moment… But can easily be expected in a “Multiple Choice” RPG…

Of course there are, this Game is far from perfect…But the best medieval rpg Simulation so far. (That i know of).

And here I am, able to one hit kill everyone at the end of the game. Its too easy now.
I literally trained with bernard and sir robard for hours. I just blocked mostly, but once in a while I would do a quick stab.

You can train with robard?

Well, I thought you could. Just checked, you can’t. So theres at least 3 combat areanas on the map. (maybe 4 later on.) You can only use one, Captain Bernard’s. Whats the point of the others? I’m sure they were at some point like beta, where you could earn money there. I really liked them because I could choose my difficulty level (instead of BERNARD DIFFICULTY)

Just keep at it. Trust me, you’ll be whooping Bernard like a little bitch after a few more level ups. It doesn’t take that long.

Op calm down mate. You’ll make everything even more difficult if you get pissed. Keep calm and train with robard, be offers tutorials for chain strikes, masterstrokes and stuff learn those first. He doesn’t even attack in those tutorials. Just don’t jump into free sparring right away. You’ll keep getting whooped till you get really good.

Get.fucking.good

I lost all my fights, now i’m hunting rabbits since 20 hours

Learn the perfect block and the right Timing.
Get a Feeling for Timing when performing a kombo.
Its all about Timing.
When ur Block is perfect press directly an attack for a counterattack.

Do all practice lessons with Robert. U get better, in time u kill all opponents.

When u clean up a Bandit camp and u are not that good, stay on ur horse and fight with the bow. Lure 1-2 of them out of the camp and fight them on a plain area.
When ur bowskill is not that strong, fight them with a longsword on your horse.
It´s much easier than on the ground. And you can move fast away from them when it gets tricky.
With a little practise here you can kill a whole camp alone even you are not good enough to beat them normally.

Thank you Callahan, you made my day
I didn’t know the Training with Mr. Robert is free as Mr. Bernhard wants some coin. So I have a meeting in Talmberg today …

oops, sorry
Bernhardt was meant.
But he wants some coin ?
I mean not to buy the one Skillpoint für Groschen, u have to get in the ring with him
