I really don't get the combat

Yeah, I mean at 14 skill, it really should be easy. Can’t really imagine how you’re struggling. Do you know about pushing Q to defend? Only thing I can think of.

Hmmm… one tip I can give is to look at your opponents blade. Once he starts an attack move, just before the centre dot turns into a green shield, it is when you can master strike and dodge. For me if it reaches the green shield is far too late. They should remove green shield altogether imho. As for fighting multiple enemies, move around a lot and use shift to disengage. Try to get your opponents one getting in the way of the other.

And… Just in case, did you equip a sword?

I suppose, given how Henry is an orbital ion cannon to many other bandits, it it the post-stamps-worth of weight exceeding his carrying capacity, that made him insta-Fail…

Hmm…

I have my fights where it feels like a real dual. I have my fights when it feels like a chaotic mess. I imagine real life was like that too.

I find the combat tends to degenerate into chaos when more than 2 get involved. That doesn’t bother me, because I expect if a boxing match suddenly became 2-on-1, things would turn messy pretty quick. Hell, even a fight between 2 world class fighters can get messy at times. It’s the nature of combat.

True, we cant all be jamie lannister

I seem to do better poking them too. For some reason, I seem to poke better than slash, and I also have a good poking sword. I once held off about 10 guards in the church at Rattay after I failed to pickpocket one of the villagers praying, of course I also kept them at bay by the door.

Yeah, cuts against cumans and especially late bandits and enemies seem to have a 90% failure rate, more often than not only provinking counterattacks you cant even fend off.

Seriously, how is anyone supposed to EVER pull off any combo, when those are 3 or even 4 slashes chained together, with each one having a 90% chance of being countered by some fancy shmancy technique?

Either enemies are so wek, they are already chopped to bits with a single cut, so no use in combos, OR they are somewhat competenct, so you cannot possibly do a combo.

We can and we are but mostly the later Jamie Lennister, not the one in the beginning
