Never did really get any dev commentary on how this will look and work in-game and in context though. So be interesting to see if this time around is any different
if you are desperate for information about the ai, here is paper by lead ai developer about system he plans to implement:
you can google some of the terms for better understanding of what he is describing. like automated planning and behavior trees.
in the context of large battles, i can surmise they will probably use brains and sub-brains, naturally for commander entity to oversee soldiers and make them work as cohesive units. maybe sub sub brains for the very little militiamen? is that how it works? don’t know. the paper gets technical.
but is interesting to get an idea of how complex and interesting they can make the ai. the pub and market examples would be a joy to experience
yea… the smaller a brewery the better the beer is.
Now i’d drink one… fortunately this weekend there is festival of mini-breweries at Prague castle.
And sadly alot better than our upcoming generation in Britain. Still, at least you have a grasp of humour unlike some others unable to have a bit of banter; either way, it’s neglecting on how good his use of the English language is.
Additionally, I am looking forward to the climax of Act I; or for Act I to be released for that matter! I think I’d perhaps prefer a more sophisticated combat system (allowing us to have directional block and not just attack) and also making us rely on each other and not just ourselves.
