If this was an online game, I’d understand the secrecy … scratch my head
Thats what im saying. Money is worthless after you buy a horse IMO
Why? I play many side quests along the main one.
You think that they MEANT to have one thousand swords , 44 Bardiches, 320 Broad axes, 543 Falchions, and allt he stuff that was lower on the screen in a single chest? Do you think it was honestly designed that way?
This is a huge bug and 100% unintentional. Just wait and see when it gets patched out.
Oh shi… I didn’t see the numbers! But are these chests locked? I mean, I play somewhat an honest character, but even if i didn’t, i believe it would not be very easy to raise one’s lockpicking skill quickly.
Well a castle garrison would definitely have a stocked armory, maybe not that heavily stocked but most RPGs seem unrealistic to me because you never seem to find a giant cache of weapons like there would be in any stronghold
There are a few dozen guards in that town. And, considering that there were nearly a dozen weapons individually placed in that room, I daresay having nearly two thousand weapons in One Chest is 100% outside of the realm of the intended gameplay of KCD. There are plenty of bigger garrisons in actual castles and stronger towns with much more realistic armories.
Hence… exploit.
Oh for sure, the amount is ridiculous…but an armory with weapons, shields and armor is a nice touch. The chest may be an issue, but the armor in the castle wall is good detail; all I’m saying is it seems like finding weapons in most RPGs is from quest rewards, buying stuff or killing people
Oh definitely. Aside from the Exploit Chest I loved absolutely everything about that place. The location, the layout, the way the weapons were spread about. 'Twas very cool!
LOL I found the armory on like my second hour in Rattay, but I never found that chest, maybe it was added in after patch 1.2. Yes there are too many weapons but I found it fun as hell to walk into the Armory by accident, choke out a few guards and get equipped right off the bat. That and the Faint Hearted Knight were a godsend at the start of the game.
But now after playing for a bit, money is no object, as all the bandit loot makes you rich quick.
I either do bandit raids and sell gear and ears or hunt…lately I’ve been hunting mostly
I used to hunt mainly to raise my bow skill but now I basically just sell loot, as I have reached a tipping point with money. There is nothing, at least that I have found, that I can buy that is better than what I own, and I keep my gear repaired so I don’t have to pay for the vendor to do it, and my money just keeps going up LOL.
no doubt, I’m just a hoarder. I want to fill all my chests with just ridiculous amounts of gold and then see if I can drop some in different piles and fill a house with it or something stupid like that. Or throw it all over the Skalitz refugee camp and let them pick it up or something.
Don’t see what the fuss is about I’d you don’t like it don’t do it
No see his problem is he wants to do all quests but doesn’t want to do certain quests…or something lol
Fact is: there aren’t enough millers to sell all those stolen weapons in time
I dunno if it was fixed, but someone before patch 1.3.1 wrote that his miller has 100k gold refreshed every day…
Uh… got over 80k groeschen, no exploit and was actually pretty easy…
Sell half. Wait for them to be fenced. Sell the other half for coin.
Not sure how much YOU’VE stolen, but in my legit playthrough (i.e. NOT with this exploit or anything like it) I’ve stolen WELL over 100K of stuff.
Each miller gets 1K gold per shipment.
Yes, you can sell stolen stuff to merchants, but it can be difficult.
Meander’s point of there not being enough fences is correct. And honestly I prefer it that way.
