Insane money shop keepers chests

I just wanted to share something that happened to me that I think other players might enjoy since it made me a insane amount of coin.

One of the ways I like to make money is hunt and I would sell to the maid at the inn in the glade south of talmberg since those woods have ton of deer and boar.

After awhile her inventory had up to 33,000 coin but something awesome happened. One day I was just randomly roaming the area to train lockpicking and found the maid inventory chest down in the basement of the inn and was able to steal the full 33,000 coins!

I haven’t tried it with other inns or shop keepers but it may work for other players if you try to get a shopkeeper or inn coin up to extrem proportions then steel from their inventory chest.

Hope this helps
Edit:
Just did same thing at the miller north of Rattay I been selling stolen goods to him for a long time his wealth got up to 144,000 coin found his chest behind his house in the building right next to the river there’s a easy chest outside but the door is a very hard lock and his chest is a very hard lock opened both with level 14 lockpick and used a padfoot potion.
Crazy how easy coin is to get in this game!

Only down side is the trader will now have 0 coin therefore you will have to sell things again and again to get the wealth up again but you can loot the chest as many times as you please.

Lol for fun if you want unlimited supply of lockpicks steal all the millers lockpicks from his chest, wait one in game day for them to restock and steal them again. Also you can sell stuff you stole from him right back even if the red icon is on the item.

Second edit:
For coin farming you can go to the sword shop and armour shop steal from the very hard chests which is their inventory chest then go to the miller sell the items wait about 2 days and the shops restock and Miller’s coin just about doubles. If you like you can also buy all items from both shops you will obviously get the coin you spend from their chest just so you can get more items to make the millers coin grow and when all said and done go to the millers chest to steal all the coin.
The sword shop chests/wardrobes are first floor third room from front door or just left in side door and armour shop is second floor the door on the side wall.

So by selling to someone extensively they’re overall gold will increase over time? I’m confuse as to how her buying your goods means she ends up with more money…wouldnt she run out? I sell to Miller Peshek quite frequently since he’ll take stolen goods. I raid bandit camps and visit him when I’m all but over encumbered and all he ever seems to have is 1.5k, no matter how much I go back. I’ll pay more attention but I dont think his gold increases anyway.

it should increase over time even with miller peshek

How to works is you sell item to a trader and after a few in game days their coin is back but doubled because they sold what you sold to them but for double the price it weird mechanic but awesome

not that weird, you sell to them at cheap price they then up charge when they release the innovatory. In Real Life this does not happen in just a couple of day though.

Nice…maybe I just havnt been paying attention lol. Good to know. So say I sell for a while and eventually Peshek is at 33k and I rob him…will he restock gold? And will he restock to his 33k or will it be affected(decrease his overall gold) since you stole his gains(for lack of a better term)?

After you rob his 33k he will be back to 0 therefore you will have to start the process over by selling items to get his gold back up then when it’s at 33k again or what ever price you prefer you can once again loot his chest and repeat this whole process as much as you like
I was just playing around with this at the miller at 289,000 coin lol this is insane

I know. Honestly, stuff usually isn’t still considered stolen by the time I sell it off but in the event I do have something stolen, I don’t have to worry about it. I can just mindlessly sell anything that isn’t equipped. Sell it or having to keep it is not the end of the world but again, with Peshek I just never have to worry; he doesnt judge.

until he catches you in the act

So if you rob him to 0, and all he sells are lock picks, a book and a dagger ( i think) and you don’t buy an unnecessary amount of lockpicks will the “world” buy his lockpics and daggers and eventually you’ll be able to sell to him or should you rob all but like, 2k lol.

Bah, Ill just tell him to be careful where he steps in the barn

first you get his trust by doing some quests with him then you rob him multiple times,
he wouldnt suspect you - good plan, wonder if you can also sell him goods that you stole from his chest or house

I know that was just a joke but he probably will never know he doesn’t even walk anywhere near his chest

You can I just stole his 20 lockpicks from his chest and sold it right back to him

for immersion, since apparently the community buys stuff from the vendors, it’d be nice to see commoners at the stands doing business (that the player can interrupt of course, cuz I’m not waiting to sell stuff for immersion) but like in Skyrim how people use the forges and what not. They have a good system of having every character have a life and a job so eventually you should need to see a vendor other than just at the Tavern.

Idk if I understand your post but I see a lot of npc in kcd working, the black smith is doing stuff on his forge and moving stuff, barmaids are walking up to people talking and selling stuff, miller even moves that bag around and does stuff. And you kinda do need to see other vendors the miller for selling stolen goods, blacksmith/tanners to get kits to fix your items or for them to make repairs, barmaid/tavern to buy a bed or sell food to, etc
Sometimes it’s so annoying at the inn in the glade I would go there overloaded with meat I hunted, I would cook it then the barmaid would always walk away from me to serve people their beer and I could only move so fast haha and people would block the door or close he door on me.

I mean being in shops specifically. They have jobs, they go to bathe, they eat and that is awesome. What I’m saying is I dont recall seeing NPCs in stores other than the Tavern, if you count that, other then the shop keep and the guard…maaaybe a wife if they live where they work.

Definitely not complaining about the game, its awesome. I’m just speaking specifically of not seeing NPCs, to my recollection, in a shop or at a stand as though they were buying something…which apparently they do since shop keep gold increases due to them selling stuff, including your sold merch.

What they have already for the NPCs having “lives” is really good, definitely not complaining. It can be poopy trying to move when you’re also trying to sell but that’s another reason why I like selling to Peshek…IF he moves around instead of just standing at the barn, hes just hauling grain from one point to another or sleeping so catching him to make a sale hasn’t been bothersome, and I’m allowed to interrupt his sleep because we’re friendly and I live there.

Oh I understand now yea is strange only time I seen npc in a shop was in Rattay sword shop a women walks through the shop every now and then I think to go to bed and the blacksmith works in the other room but yea no one buying stuff from the shops
