But I was mostly learning and testing stuff there now I got a method down pat to make thousands of coin extremely easy but it has some requirements.
Requirements:
-high lockpicking around level 14
-padfoot potions (increases lockpicking)
-any horse
-can sell to the miller near Rattay
-(optionable) high speech and empathetic perk to avoid guards from taking your items.
Step 1:
Go to the back room of the weaponsmith in Rattay where you will find some chests and wardrobes with very hard locks.
Step 2:
Steal from all of those but make sure no guards are near and don’t kill any of them or it attracts more guards.
Step 3:
Stay in the room and wait 7 in game days (sometimes might have to wait longer patch 1.04 might of changed something was restocking every 2days before patch)
Step 4:
You can now steal from the chest and wardrobes again all items should of restocked if not wait another day.
Sometimes if the security guard of the shop notices you even if he is not in the room the items won’t appear in the chest / wardrobe.
Step 5:
Repeat steps 2-4 until your carry weight is around 2,000 don’t go over because the game starts to lag and might crash due to it not being able to handle that inventory of items.
Step 6:
Walk out the side door of the shop, call your horse, and ride to the Rattay miller.
Step 7:
Sell everything to the miller you can sacrifice some coin by selling all of those items for nothing to get the millers coin up a ton or sell a bit at a time waiting several in game days till his coin restocks and keep selling till all your items are gone.
Step 8:
You may repeat all the previous step to get easy unlimited supply of coin but that isn’t the best part!!
Step 9:
When the millers coin is at an amount you like let’s use 100,000 as an example you can now go to the building behind the millers house and unlock the door that has a easy chest in front of. Inside is a very hard chest this is the millers inventory chest where that 100,000 is sitting and waiting for you to steal. Only downside is miller will then go back to 0 coin where you will have to sell him things to make is coin increase but who cares you have 100,000 coin haha.
Side note:
You can steal his lockpicks from the chest, wait in game days I believe 4-6 for his inventory to restock and steal 20 lockpicks again over and over. You can even sell stuff you steal from the chest right back to him and he doesn’t have a clue that was his items.
If guards spot you stealing or are annoying you by not leaving the room leave the area fairly far and wait a hour or 2 to hopefully get them to leave.
You can also do this method at the armourer in Rattay the chests are on the second floor in the small room on the side wall but there is always a guard downstairs whom will follow you in the room a lot but you get a lot more items from the chest that are worth a lot more then weaponsmith.
Final note is if you’d like before you leave for Rattay you can buy all the items in the shop to get more items to increase the millers coin. Won’t this cost me money? No because one of those chest your stealing from is the weaponsmith inventory just not all of it therefore all the coin you spend will be in the chest to steal back.
Hope everyone enjoys I seriously think this is the best way to make money it’s so quick and easy only downside is needing high lockpicking which people seem to have trouble with but honestly when you level 14+ with most of the perks and a padfoot potion it’s extremely easy to unlock a chest and with unlimited supply of lockpicks from the miller there’s no worry of cost.
