I just got the quest and know it has caused the not able to load save bug. I saw a work around for the quest on reddit but my strngth etc is not high enough to try that route.
Is the quest still bugged?

Ahh dunno then, I hear when PS4 players get their it’s best to stop because it can corrupt saves… not sure about PC
I think no quest is bugged for everyone…
I heard also about lots of bugs and so far I made every single quest without a bug

Yes, it is. On PC.
But I think it’s caused by one (or more) particular way(s) in which you handle the quest. I don’t know what the right way to do it is, but I suspect it may have something to do with him either surviving or dying.

How long ago did you do the quest? Do you mind giving detail on how you did the quest? Nothing lengthy just basics?
Completed it last night. Went to the northern farm first, used the speech option on the girl at the farm, located the camp, reported to Bernard, told him there were 15 men, said screw negotiations, went straight for the leader, reported back to lord Hanush. Never went to the southern farm once.

THANKS WORKS for me. but after I said to negociate, was neccessary first go talk to wolfin and challenged to a duel after I win you need run of bandits and report to bernard, after that you report to lord hanush and finish, quest unbugged and finish.

Any news on this being fixed? I’m on this mission on Xbox One and do not want to corrupt my game…about to load back and just not talk to Hans until it is fixed.
Only tried to kill him, never tried Dipplmacy.

This method seems to work for me, didn’t corrupt my save nor make it to where I get the “Load Game Failed” error. Playing on the Ps4 btw.

I used diplomacy with a charisma potion (13+5 vs his 16). Told him to leave the loot and piss off, he said ok. Bernard accepts it and told me to report to Hanush back at Rattay. I’m going to replay it with a few different options as I would prefer to kick his arse but I wonder if certain options change/bring about any future side quests involving them.

Make sure your save is not corrupt. I am on xbox one and after a few attempts where the battle ended but audio still sounded like a battle and the game bugged out and would not let me finish. Finally after a few tries I killed the bandit leader or whatever, Bernard says talk to Hanush, I talked to Hanush, got my reward, thought finally I got it…but to be safe I saved and loaded just to have my loads never load and just keep sending me to the main menu. IF only diplomacy works currently Im fudged, Bernard wasnt gonna let me talk to anyone…my CHA is like, 6 or some junk lol
I’ve had the quest completed a long time now, no issues whatsoever with corruption or save game failed to load. Seems the method I used isn’t bugged but I don’t know for certain.
Did you use diplomacy or did you kill the guy?
This one bugged for me on PC but not for my friend. It corrupted every save file i had previous to completing it. I had to go back and load and lost about 1 hour or so. I used the reddit thread and redid the quest and so far have not had any issues. What i had to do was to scout the one camp, go back to Bernard, but instead of saying “lets go” say hold on a minute (or something to that affect). I then went back to the camp and stealth killed wolf. I was able to do this by going to the camp guard and telling him i wanted to parley. I then stepped away from the camp for about 30 seconds and the wolf finally says something to the affect of “to hell with this, I’m not going to parley.” However, when you approach the camp again the soldiers in the camp aren’t hostile. you can move freely about. I have the stealth kill ability, and stealth killed him. You have to run like hell after, because you’ll have 15 angry wolf fanboys chasing you. After you get back to Bernard, just tell him you killed him and he’ll tell you to go back to Hanush. I completed it and my saves stopped corrupting after.
Chose diplomacy then challenged him to a duel.
