I just want some realistic gore. I want guts ,dismemberment or decapitation or at the very least more blood.
Yes. When itâs realistic. And add children. Even better killable children.
Well this just got dark. Lol Not sure if youre serious though?
This has a lot to do with serious. Killing children couldnât be more serious. Itâs 100 % realistic.
I agree , still pretty dark. I doubt we see it as an option anytime soon, especially with how amped up teenagers on energy drinks like making inappropriate video game youtube videos. Peoples heads would be explodingâŠat least here in America, we are an ackward sensitive bunch lol
When games are art, everything should be possible without being censored. Why itâs allowed that children get killed in a movie but not in a game - only in a boring cutscene! I donât want this because of fun. There is no fun to kill a child. But I want this just as a possibility. Everything should be possible in general. There is a reason why we have FSK 18 and we could even make FSK 21. But art should have the free roam to realize the developers vision. And when itâs dark. Itâs dark.
There are movies with child porn content and you can buy them on Amazon and everywhere. Because in special aspects itâs art.
warhorses, large battles, full weaponry/armory of the time, an economy that isnât broken, actual tavern life, magnetism free combat⊠these and many other things are higher on my realism to do list
I think persuing total realism is a waste of time, we play using computers, and realism is something that we imagine into our brain. In my opinion a game should balance the pros of reality and the pros of gameplay. I donât want to spend 1 complete day riding my horse to travel to another village jsut because it is realistic (it is only a ridiculous example).
In the chase of reality I would totally erradicate some inmersion killing things that often we see in games. For example, a game should be developed taking in mind all the time not to receive (or at least the minimum) HUD information. If the character is tired, you should just notice because of the natural information that happens in real life (you move slower, you breath different, if you are fighting you canât do the same, etc).
If you need to gather information you just go to ask an specific NPC, not read a âjournalâ. Conversation with NPCs should be much more deep, and they should provide vital information about many things related to what you are following in a moment. You need to speak with somebody? just speak, do not show me stupid sentences to choose one. Why not thinking to implement a basic conversation engine (bots with some specific instructions) in NPCs instead of stupid scripts with no sense?
The interest that I have in 3rd person view is becuase I need all the information reading the behavior of my character, not stupid icons disturbing all the time and reminding me that I am using a program. I need a lot of different animations showing me what is happening (eating, drinking, speaking, gestures, tireness, pain, freezing, etc). The 3rd person view is completelly unexploited so far in games, and it has the potential to inform abour everything, making HUD practically not necessary. The 3d Body is a piece of art in itself, if it is well done, but it never is. When using 1st person view I only see what happen into the border of my screen, and that is not real, it wolud be if my monitor would be 180Âș curved, but it is just a rectangle, and I lose all information that in real life I rececive from my real field of view. Using 3rd person, even being ânot realâ, gives gives me a much more apropiate sense of what is happening in my souroundings, more close to the information that I receive in real life.
Also real life is boring if we decided to âplayâ and reproduce. A game has the opportunity to mix the goods of real things and the goods of gameplay.
This would be a great mod for this game if there is not one already. I donât play it on my pc so Iâm not up on all the mods.
The Resident Evil series would be a good system to use as a starting point to build it. They did an amazing job with character animation relaying information to the player. The latest one even has a different animation for poisoned status where the charcter gets woosy and starts coughing.
If they made it first person only for immersion purposes I donât agree with this decision because every third person animation of picking an herb or talking to an npc breaks the immersion of a first person perspective. We should have had the choice to switch between first and third person view from the beginning and not been locked into this cycle of different perspectives all of the time.
It strains my console every time so I can only imagine the strain it puts on a gaming PC on ultra high settings and the game trying to render little specs of dust floating through the air all the time.
In my opinion it is only an excuse. They did not make 3rd person just because making 3d person properly needs more work. Third person view was something they consider before releasing the game, there are many proofs. It is almost done, but some essential things make any mod impossible to enjoy this game in 3rd person view. So it is not a matter of modding, it is a decission of devs. But too late if they decide to fix it today, this game is done.
I agree that every change of camera is a pain, not only in this game. A game of this kind is not a movie where we need different camera positions and angles, I only need ONE perfect camera possition, and all the game using the same view. And that is 3rd person view. First person view maybe only if you use VR, but that is not my case.
