Is this legal?

Once again, “these days” products appear with more bugs and glitches because their structure is way more complex. Afaik, code is way more complicated than it was in the past, making way more difficult to spot errors and fix them

Are you actually a programmer? Because it seems to me you don’t know what you are talking about.

For some games that is true but only for a little amount. Otherwise, Nope! Ubisoft for example explained that they releasing games with bugs to prevent them of cracking. because they are knowing that it is not easy to crack every patch. And they are only two or three teams out there who are able to give denuvo a kick in his ass.

I buy a TV right, I don’t know how to build one? top of the range tech demon. £2k cost me… it didn’t work as intended so I returned it and got a refund. I bought a pair of pants for £10 right… i ain’t got a clue how to make a pair of pants… the stitching was crappy in them so I took them back and got a refund. It is not normal to buy broken products, small patches for improvements I can take and understand but broken products are completely different. I don’t have to care about how complicated the programming is because I’ve paid top dollar to not have to understand it. I’ve paid for someone who does understand it all to have created a game. If that game is completely unplayable and not working as intended then I ain’t paying for it simple as that. Stop throwing your money at greedy devs who take your money before admitting the game wasn’t ready for release.

Uhm, why don’t you refund it? You have the option, surely.

I already have refunded it. 48hr play time and Microsoft still refunded me with no arguement and I genuinely felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I get really down when I feel like I’ve been scammed or ripped off and this game was making me proper low. Desperately trying to like it but it was just game breaking bug one after another. I play betas, alphas and Microsoft game previews and I can accept games in a bad state but it’s only fair when it’s stated ahead of time and the games sold for a fair price because of it.

What makes you believe the OP is invalid with his claim? In most other industries it would be considered a legal matter? Specially now they are refusing refunds but the game is clearly broken for people on console. ( not everyone )

Who is refusing refunds? (I assume you are talking about KCD and Warhorse, unless I misread)

Yeah, lots of people are being told no by Warhorse etc. And I think Sony have stopped giving them. Not sure about Microsoft I think most who want them are still getting them.

I’m certain Steam is still offering their regular refunds and so is Microsoft, as you are proof of it. However, I understand why they wouldn’t be refunding backers.

There are backers trying to get a refund? I mean, it’s Well known that it’s Not granted a Project is working Out.

I saw a backer the other day demanding a non-steam copy as he is paranoid Steam is malware and will steal his data. So I assume there are backers demanding full refunds as well.

Yeah I’ve seen backers asking for refunds but i understand why they ain’t getting one. Can’t back a horse in a horse race and then get a refund when it doesn’t win. It’s a gamble unfortunately. Buying a release game shouldn’t be a gamble though.

 Steam Stealing His Data But Posting in a Forum and having an Kickstarter Account?

Once again, I doubt those that bought it after release are not getting refunds, unless they spent a shit ton of hours playing the game (Refunds should still be handed if the issues and complaints arise late game though)

Well that’s nice, a Thread in how to Use a Game without it’s drm on the official Forums of the game, haven’t Seen that yet

I’ve seen PS4 players being told they can’t get a refund and I’ve seen some steam members not able to either… dunno everyone’s circumstances but there’s more popping up saying they can’t recently.

Like I said, Microsoft sorted me out even with 48hrs on the clock… at that point I was one shotting every enemy and killing 20 cumans without taking damage. I was also losing saves and main quest NPCS were bugging out and breaking the game. I was reloading saves from 5hrs previous in hope it fixed it but then I would Just hit a different game breaker one after another to the point where 10-15hrs playing I didn’t progress at all I just kept reloading and trying to dodge a minefield of game breakers.

is true i always pre order but this is the second time i have seen a game with some many bugs the other one is elex
ps but i dont mind so far i am not playing the history just playing dice making a lot of money
