Is this legal?

Then you are new to gaming. Especially PC gaming.

I agree with that but I have to say Elex had a lot less bugs for me. Also was a lot cheaper for me. Still… elex was a bad game tho lol.

i have been playing since i had 8 and i have 30 and for me pc is an instrument to work not to play for that is the consoles
(just my humble opinion)

My bad.

But, complex structure of a program is no excuse for releasing an unusable product. If it’s tested properly and extensively, it will have some bugs, possibly also one or two critical. Bugs will always be in programs. It’s like with actual bugs. They will always be bugging people.

This is not about some minor bugs, though. This game has serious issues on some machines. It is completely unplayable for many console users. Was it advertised as “unplayable for some”? No? Then it should be sold playable.

If it’s not working, that means there was not enough system testing or acceptance testing or whatever - quality assurance failed miserably. And not enough testing - that’s the company’s fault, not the customer’s. Customer should never be involved in such things, because that’s not part of the deal: you take my money, I get your product. Product by definition is something finished, having full functionality, unless stated otherwise in an agreement, like in early access or pre-order.

We are long past pre-order, though, aren’t we?

Who’s new to gaming?

Was there even a public testing phase in consoles like PC? Plenty of the PC issues were fixed there.

i like elex it give the sensation that i was playing with shepard of course it does not compare to me 1 and 2

Was meant to reply to the person above me who said he never saw a bigger bugfest before.

No public testing to my knowledge but I wasn’t a backer so I don’t know. Judging purely by the issues it has on consoles I would have to say no because there is no way a group of gamers in early access wouldn’t have flagged some of these huge bugs up.

at the end is common knowledge that if you pre order do not expect a perfect game

It shouldn’t be common knowledge. I don’t preorder a new car and expect it to be undriveable when i pick it up from the show room.

for brand new company they have done an excellent job and look what bioware did with the las mass effect one of the more waited games and the blew it up and now a good game is totaly cancelled

Stop comparing a generally new product that constantly changes ways of distribution to others that have been around for years. Unfair comparison in my opinion.

When I buy something from the store I don’t sit contemplating how new the company is. If it’s broken then it’s broken… they don’t get points for effort once they take full price.

When you pre-order, you pay in advance, and that’s all there is to it. There’s never a clause that you will get an unfinished product. There’s a risk, however, that you won’t like what you paid for two years ago, because developers will change some gameplay feature that convinced you to pay in advance.

cars are totally diferents for example a toyota camry 2015.2016.2017 all of them are the same car with minor upgrades and you dont preorder cars you buy cars after they have gone through hell of testing

How is it an unfair comparison… a product purchase for coin is a product purchased for coin. I expect them both to work it’s as simple as that.

Urm yeah you can preorder a car, I’ve done it a few times. I also work in the industry that tests cars hence why I use it as my comparison because it’s what I know.

i own 2 Toyota, 1 Honda and 1 BMW dealer i know what im talking too and trust me when you pay in advance i already have the car but the factory has not given the order to sell it, for example i receive the 2018 in may 2017 and i start selling it in September 2017

Another thing is that it really shouldn’t be a common knowledge. Customers are partly to blame for the bad practices on the market, simply because they, as a group, allow companies to sell them crap and they gladly and happily buy that crap. Sounds idiotic, but that’s the way of homo sapiens, always has been and always will be.
