Kingdom Come Deliverance Receives PEGI 18 Rating

I can’t say I’m unhappy, though it will probably harm sales. I’m happy it isn’t tame enough to get something lower :stuck_out_tongue:

Imho its a good thing, if a younger audience is introduced they might complain its too slow of a game.

So in happy with it. I believe mature is the highest rating they will give? But I hope nothing is censored or removed drom the original idea with this 18 rating. Like certain lines of dialog.

Well… it’s not… that’s why it’s 18

Why would it? I can’t show it on livestages anymore… last time will be Paris Games Week, but that’s not a big deal since we are close to release anyway

Well under 18s can’t buy it any more, can they?

Maybe this rating system doesn’t work the same as it does in my country0_o

They’ll buy it anyway. Only problem for them can be buying physical copy, but on internetz you can check what you like. For example if you give me form saying im pregnant 18 years old girl, ill happily sign it (no, im not pregnant and im not a girl and im a lil but older than 18)

Higher ratings means the game is mature, which is what I consider a must! Younger audience will play it nonetheless, if they are mature enough to evaluate the “Vavra story”. So, I’m glad it is PEGI 18.

Just like I loved Mafia (the original) once upon a time.

trying hard to keep art in line with a vision is sometimes a battle . those that senselessly neuter their work to appeal to younger audiences are doomed to fail or forever feel a shudder when they look over it.

too many times beautiful ideas and works get butchered for the sake of this. not this time. no not this time. hands of politically correct mo fo’s suck a fat one. KCD is fast approaching. watched Robbaz play the beta bugs or not he had a ball canny wait for full game.

The highest selling games are all 18+, so i can’t see how it would affect it. Besides there is no way to tell age when buying through steam.

Lets be honest, below 18 group isn´t really the most wealthy group  When I was this young, I just pirated games anyway, as my parents did not support gaming at all

That’s my fetish. :sunglasses:

No, but you do make a good point about buying Digital. Who’s going to check? Nobody, that’s who.

So true.
I mean Grand Theft Auto V is STILL in the NPD top 10 best selling games every single month!!! Almost 3 years after it released on PS4 and Xbox One and OVER 4 years after it initially launched on last gen systems in September 2013 !!!

guide how to buy being under 18 a game 18+.
Store > explore > type “kingdom come deliverance” > add to cart > Prrchase for myself > any payment method > Finished
and there you have it.

Why Steam asks about your age when viewing games in store if you can buy it under age anyway?
Anyway, making game 18 might also work out as stable selling point over time, as some will get 18 and buy game later.
However, it is mostly recommendation for adults to watch over their kids. Some are sensitive, especially when it role-playing real life and will include sex scenes.
It might also mean it is difficult for problem solving and youngsters may struggle as they wouldn’t understand.

Because they are legally required to ask your age.

Sure, but then they sell games to those who are not supposed to see content over their age limit? That does not seem right, does it?

I think those rating are indicative only, To inform the customer, nothing legally binding.

no kid is going to buy this game, get real. highly doubt this will affect sales

I get it everyone, I’m idiot, lets all laugh at me.
