no not really its called the real world tech moves on . if you dont move with it then thats your problem
tell that to the many people who im sure have pledged then realize that they need to upgrade their system to play it perhaps if the devs advertised the specs that you need a good rig then there would not be this problem
The full game will be released in december 2015 so I think that almost everyone will have DX 11 when it will be released.Moreover 99% new games needs DX11.

BTW: Back in the old days people checked if their system was able to play the games. Plus the KS campaign AND the pledge page give the minimum requirements, so no hidden information at any time.
