Lances and horses

But what about the folks I named above who killed nobles and kings all the same?

What about armies made up exclusively of non noble commoners? There a quite a few of those and even if that is not the case than anywhere from 50 to 90 percent of the army is going to be made up out of commoners.

Yup, only around 10-20% of all armies were made out of professionals, knights etc. It was very expensive to have knights on the battlefield.

one of the stretch goals were too add a tournament system that is trying to be realistic as possible (game play before realism). Not adding lances to the game is probably unlikely because of the tournament system. It’s too iconic to leave out of the game. Jousts are awesome and i would love to see jousts in the tournament.

Yeah i was more thinking of lances for real combat. But since they are adding spears that will make fighting on horse back more enjoyable.

I think the tournament mode was just kinda like a custom battle type thing and not a real tournament.
