I wanted to see how realistic Henry’s dreams were and walked back to Deutsch’s house and lo and behold:
Was up outside Rattay castle and thought “how about I just ride my horse down the hill?”. Seems Warhorse has had the same thought and cheekily placed a dead horse exactly there. I still made it, but it made me worry quite a bit
Any opportunity to post games shots and I am in.
Not sure relevance, but hey, ‘missile command rain’ seems to be a meme.
WH will fix it… quite simply its just really heavy rain from multiple directions.
Its probably some sort of edge defining pass that leads to the issues.
With a little more framerate it just looks gorgeous.
That looks more like day 1 release rain on PS4. Definitely not 1.5. 1.6 is ok but hopefully can be tweaked a little more
The rain has been my single most painful bugaboo since release.
Here’s hoping they’ll fix it some day…
Unbelievable they’ve not improved it at all.
Replay it. I’m on Xbox one and it doesn’t not look near that bad. It has problems, sure, but it looks pretty good to me so far…probably 40 hours in to a Hardcore play
can’t be bothered with it anymore deleted it and will not be installed again
Gets that way when we lose faith…
1.6 is a big middle finger to the playerbase.
Matched with paid for DLC that appears rushed and introduces new issues is maddening- and our conditioned expectation is that it will take a few updates to smooth out THAT product…
When we have faith, patience is easy/easier to give.
When they start to look like EA, we start to want to distance ourselves from them.
My rule of thumb/yardstick was “give 'em six months” (check status then)…
I expected with a new product for sale, the first would be ‘ready’; the fact it was more ‘ready’ with an earlier version - that appears to be compromised for no other reason that to rush sell another incomplete product (something the studio swore they wouldnt do (again)) is very trying on faith in the studio.
Six months is nearly up.
At which point I’d like to start playing the game (thats right- I only get one chance at a ‘first impression’, and I have extended them a lot of grace with letting them ‘wow’ me.
The first few patches NEEDED rush jobbing- many found mission critical bugs and wanted to be able to have the game display… (without shakes and with a game resembling what was sold to us).
I know my attitude would still be absolutely positive if the DLC had been free.
I wouldnt have reason to question the latest ‘bugged version’ being simply for $$$/now.
I would be happy to wait a bit for an expanded game world to integrated properly and would understand the benefit is FOR EVERYONE.
NOW i start to to speculate that WH could see two groups of customers; those who support them (buying DLC), and those who are still complaining about their legacy product.
The base game still needs to be made right.
WH not understanding that they are living in a (brief) grace period and that if they blow it, they are basically buried (no future DLCs amounting to big sales, although us customers will find them ‘on big sale’)
If they had a clear path or vision they could communicate it.
They dont.
They believe they are litmus testing us/toe in the water to see what they can milk us for.
Using terminology like ‘milk us’ starts to happen when a studio losses the trust from its demographic.
If I was just a typical antagonising thread warrior who had cried to high Heaven for months- these words would just prove ‘another rant’.
Id like to think that anyone whos endured ten or more of my posts, would know that I attempt to put out small fires and misunderstandings, whilst keeping things ‘factual’.
Problem with ‘facts’ in a world where I can only present my sibjective reality, is that the language I use to present them naturally will reveal my attitude.
My attitude is a smidge above neutrality, presently.
I still have faith/patience- but at which point should I reevaluate my stance?
Game should be made to work.
Dazz is venting tgeir maddening journey with the product.
At least they offered an ‘exit interview’.
More power to them.
I’m not outraged. I thought the DLC was worth a measly $10 and, aside from occasionally the game not saving (which I can check by checking “load game” before I leave and so far that is a 100% fail safe for me), I don’t experience many terrible problems.
You know, as much as I would LOVE to setup camp myself when it’s night out and I can’t make it to town, there are vacant camps scattered around the map for you to use, even have a pot with stew ready for eating!
