Levels of Realism - the little details

biggest thing I noticed since 1.3(and honestly idk when it started but I just noticed it) was loud thunder and bright lightning during storms…it was legit. I love how the rain sounds different inside a house then it does outside, how Henry takes a deep breath before continuing his adventure after spending time looking at his map or going through his inventory. This game is amazing

-the weather is awesome

  • thunderstorms
  • lanterns carried by npc
  • at the tavern the wench really tends the customers
  • the switch between birds and animals at dusk
  • howling wolves
  • conversations overheard in towns that lead to side quests
  • the pace of the time schedule
  • awesome vistas
  • the danger of travelling
  • the fact that a poor choice doest lead to game.over but to a thing called Consequences
  • farms and farm animals
  • all the people.doing their jobs
  • the church bells ringing

dude, I want my own lantern. The lantern mods in Skyrim were dope…it’s so dumb that everyone else can get one but you can’t…I feel like I’m the only one with a torch lol

You and the guards. As henry is the only guy who gets shit for breaking the torch law.:grin:

The lanterns are new right??
I see them hanging and standing everywhere now

I noticed that. I can walk behind an NPC when neither of us have a torch but I’ll get singled out…I like the interaction and everything I just think if you’re going to program that into your game you should make sure everyone has a torch or show some altercations between guards and Skalitz refugees without torches or something to make it feel like it isn’t just me lol

Im always roleplaying those situations. I tell myself that guards enforce this law on henry cause they are jealous on him for getting in with the nobles considering his background

What about the branches in the forest used to lead you to hunting spots. Placed there by other hunters20180320_163449

I never noticed…i’ve seen marks on trees and stuff but not those

If you follow them till you reach a standing up one you find hunting spots or maybe something diff

Sure adds hours of gameplay wandering around in the woods

Nice. I hunt hare and deer behind/to the north of the Huntsman cottage and I hunt board North of Merhojed. Roe deer, if I want them, tend to be in clear fields right outside of patches of woods so I can usually find them if I need but I do Red Deer unless someone specifically needs Roe; which they don’t cuz I’ve done all the Huntsman quests and the hunting for Andrew at the Inn on the Glade

There are little tiny game trails in the tall grass too… if you crouch down and follow them, they’re littered with rabbits. You’ll find a new rabbit every 10 feet or so.

You also have the circle branch ones. Havent figured that one out yet.

They mark bandit camps. Or little unoccupied camps. Look around near them and you’ll find a little trail that leads to a tent in the woods… or a whole bandit camp.

That happened once…I was just walking down what looked like a normal patch and I hit a rabbit like you said every 10 feet or so…it was great.

those are what I’ve seen.

the attention to detail like that and the water mill? or whatever you call that paddle thing that you use to find a bandit camp or whatever…the dead bodies hanging from trees, tipped over caravans…detail is amazing.

Missile command?
Was going to temove post due to being iff topic, but the “post deleted” message looked shady…

On topic;
If it hasnt been said; I like jumping fences with my hand for assistance. (Its heaps easier in real life, so of course my ingame avatar should do it)…
I love the colours reflecting onto nearby walls, off shield s and shiny armours. (When I saw it happening outside I think I wet myself a little; believing the complex light moddeling was indoors only…)
I love watvhing the breeze. (Yes something invisible) through the audio and the rustling of on screen objects. Even ripples in buckets sometimes feels right…

Without doubt its getting dirty and always wondering how conversations might alter…

Not even Missile Command had streaks that pixilated :hushed:

  • Yeah, and not feeling your whole body, but being able to walk and fight anyway.
  • Being unable to smell the world
  • being unable to tilt your head
  • being unable to say what you want, instead you are given multiple choice sentences by God.

Dude…I think you forgot that this is a video game…

(the … issues, i agree, however)
