It’s being updated in the next patch. It’s currently going through certification, which can take 1-2 weeks based on the platform.
yet so many players testify that it’s easy after some practice. It’s not broken, you need to invest time in something to learn. im playing on console and i raged in the beginning until i got to lvl 3 then it became so easy i couldn’t belived i cried over it in the forums. But everyone just wants the game to get easy by the get go so they don’t have to bother to actualy lrean how to do it.

It’s not broken. It’s tricky at first and some people are unable to beat it but that doesn’t mean it’s broken. It just means you can’t figure it out.

Lockpicking is easy if you use this tip.
Put your controller on a flat surface and hold the thumbsticks with your fingers. This way you get way.more control.

lock picking is fine on console. (I play on a ps4 pro) yes in the beginning its hard but once you get past level 2 it becomes easy. naturally the harder the lock the more difficult it becomes, but its not impossible. I totally have the technique down now and 95% of the time I get them open on first try.

One of the main selling points of KCD is that you’re not a super-hero. Shit is hard to do and you have to practice. If you could pick “master level locks” straight away, that’s a bug in the game IMO.

No, I know exactly how to do it. Managing to do it is another thing. I’ve picked a few successfully yet even when the pick (gold ball) is in the sweet spot it will still just randomly break sometimes. If it so not an issue why are so many both here and on various other forms of social media complaining about it? I managed to pick a few locks yesterday but as I said there is just too much of a random pick snapping element to it. Even after leveling up twice it super annoying. At this point it moot as it’s being patched.

I have only 10/15 hours of gameplay, until yesterday, lockpiking with dualshock 4 was pretty impossibile, i had to sell all food and things in my bacjpack to buy lockpickers, Just to steal AN armor to gain exit to the first city…
I appreciated the “realistic” part of IT, altough IT was pretty weird since IT was like one of the first quest…
I agree that should be eqsier on consoles, but instead of complaining on forum, or i try and try and try to skill myself and my Character, or simply play a roleplay where i m not able to lockpick!
Even before the 1.3 patch it was hard at first, but I took 50 lock picks to the 5th treasure map trunk. A very hard, and kept doing it till I opened it. You don’t need to be spot on every time, the game allows for a bigger amount of deviation the more you do it. So at first the slightest slip away from the sweet spot and snap, back to the start. But it did get easy, so easy in fact that the very hard ones were just like the very easy at the start of the game. I think they messed up with the change, although the new look is more astheticly appealing. XBox One X player.

It’s the left thumbstick that’s killing me (PS4). After a while the lock just stops turning and sticks. I can go about halfway through the rotation and then the stick forgets what it’s supposed to be doing. Has anyone with difficulty tried buying a new controller? I’m wondering if mine are just old.
