I seriously don’t get why every single interaction with npcs requies loading screen? Couldn’t we just talk to npcs from our POV and select conversation options? It totally pushes me back from talking to anything. 30% of my time spent in the game is on waiting on loading screens.
Is there any resonable explaination for that?
Well, as Always when you have Long Loading Screens its a Performance issue. Lower your graphics, Set free more RAM or Just lean Back and Grab a Drink
Upgrade your gear, my avarage loading time per talk is 1 sec.
No, no Im not talking about long loading screens, Im just saying that i don’t understand why do we get into loading screen just for conversation with an npc?
Never had that before in any game. Even in World of Warcraft which is known from its insanely long loading screens - no problems there
Wait, what do you mean with loading screan? Really an art picture and the loadingprogress in the lower right corner? or the fade to black, that lasts a short while?
black screen that lasts for a short while or 30 secs.
yeah there was an explaination of that, it looks like it has to do with the change from 1st person to 3rd person view. And yeah, I had never to wait more that 2 sec.
“upgrade your gear” upgrade your brain with your comment…
Rather expect from devs to finish their product before releasing it to public.
You do realise that it’s a very small price to pay considering the world has literally no loading screens between areas. Less loading time than most RPGs in general. It’s simply that you are not used to seeing a loading screen for conversations, but the reality is that this game has probably 10% of the loading time of Skyrim. Literally everything in that game is divided by a loading screen. KCD is seamless apart from the convos and object interactions. That being said, for a cutting edge game with tech like KCD, it’s a given that you should have it installed on an SSD. My convos load in 2-3 seconds, it’s nothing compared to the loading in other games.
Agree with my upper neighbor, it’s amazing to see no loading screen when travelling the world !
Installed game on a SSD and a good GPU (gtx1080), loading to talk to a NPC is like 1-3 seconds max. Presumably to load Henry full gear, and/or “teleport” him to proper facing the interlocutor.
No, I refuse to accept this sort of argument. It’s not the devs fault your system isn’t good enough to run cryengine. Protip: buy an SSD.
You need to have the game on the SSD. Simple as that. If you are playing a cutting edge 2018 game on technology that is twenty years old at least (high speed HDDs), then expect it to be slower. HDD’s are not appropriate for games like this, welcome to 2018. Upgrade your damn PC with an SSD.
dont get it. why should devs care about ppl running old hardware and complaining about performance issues.
i agree with people here, i have it on ssd and i didnt even know that convos have loading until I visited the forums
This game has far more loading screens. For one there is a loading screen to get to the loading screen. (Game Start). After that you get to load your save. Every speech interaction with npcs the game loads. Change to menu real quick to view objective… yup loading. Then with the constant crashes (consol) you get to restart the game and reload the loading screen to then load the game save. Which is not current because of the faulty save system and boom you are now spending more time loading for a quest than playing the game.
I don’t get this hatery and implying that im not using an SSD.
Witcher 3 was also hw demanding game but never had loading screens for conversations there.
Stop defending badly coded game.
No, it’s a simple fact that it doesn’t. Simple objective fact. Saying otherwise doesn’t change that. My gf has been playing Skyrim and the witcher recently and there is far more waiting for things to load, literally 10x + in Skyrim. That KCD has a seamless world is a real achievement, but all you care about is waiting 2-3 seconds for a conversation to load.
people will always find something to cry about…
Guess you didn’t understand my point.
To simplify: As long as they don’t fix the game crashes the time loading to complete a objective are on par with OLD tech games.
Don’t come at me with upgrade your hardware. I play consol (Xbox one x) with a SSD. So yea that is not on me rather than the game developers.
