Wasn’t looking for your respect or your approval. I’m tired of people saying: this game isn’t for u. What right does anyone have to say that. No one. And it doesn’t matter if it was the vision of the devs or not. Like many things created in this world people later take that those inventions and try to make them better. Why don’t u try thinking outside the box instead of living in it.
And I don’t need validation from you. So what’s your point, that you’re a tough guy?
But everyone else is supposed to have patience for your arguments.
This part is pure bullshit. Firstly, people have the right to present an opposite view. If you think you have the right to argue against, then others have the right to argue for. What you’re saying is nonsense in that regard. The point about game design is by necessity relevant: with that and countless other decisions, you wouldn’t have the game as it is. So of COURSE it matters. The fact that you don’t like the way the decisions turned out is immaterial.
Your argument about ‘taking inventions and trying to make them better’ is a grandiose attempt that ignores anything I have to say by hiding behind the skirts of betterment. Trying to make something all things to all people is a well known path to possible failure. I listed some very real issues with MP in the game, but your argument is that since something can be changed, everything will be all right. That’s the same standpoint that says all the bugs in this game will be addressed by the dev team.: might happen, might not. Instead of closing your eyes and windmilling your fists, try to see both sides of an issue instead of being afraid to look over the fence.
I can guess that most if not all bugs will be fixed. What do you suppose there doing sitting there with there thumbs up there ass counting our money.
Also I can see there is no arguing with someone who thinks there right. I was only putting my oppinion out there. And that I’d like to see at least coop if it was possible but according to u it isn’t. I guess we will see won’t we. Over and out.
“There’s also chilvary, and another chilvary inspired game coming soon, which i don’t recall the name right now, but these two are MP exclusives.”
The game who’s name you can’t remember is probably *Mordhau. Anyone with an interest in these “realistic” medieval combat games should probably keep an eye on it. It’s looking like Chiv MKII so far, minus the hilarious voice emotes unfortunately. Though some may come later:pray:.
The lack of game development experience is palpable, I’m merely pointing out the flaws in OP’s vision, backed up by decades of modding experience. Take Skyrim’s multiplayer for instance, which is WAY simpler to do and after years of development is far from perfect. I can go even further, take Stardew Valley’s multiplayer mod, which is nothing compared to cryengine and is far from being anywhere done. The publisher hired a whole team just for that and even then it’s taking a long damn time.
I’m being realistic, presenting facts to why this wouldn’t be possible/difficult, and of course you can fantasize about ways a game could be made, mods will be doing lots of stuff and they should as it is what will extend the life of this game into oblivion. I’m merely responding to OP’s lack of common sense when he’s practically saying that the vision the devs had for this game is some kind of “single-player tiranny” and that anyone that prefer a purely single-player rpg in favor of story is a backward moron.
I simply won’t be spoken to in this tone of voice, you can modify the game any way you like but keep your voice down especially when you’re ordering others to make these changes for you.
What about PVP…LMAO
If only the devs would release modding tools, then we could have a higher chance of being able to implement this type of a mod. But then again, cry-engine’s a bitch when it comes to modding.
Yeah, that’s another thing. Without the SDK having knowledge of Cryengine is not enough as engines can get heavily modified during production.
